I also found out tilting the mic a tad bit can help you from sounding too loud. The angle of which you tilt it can also determine how loud and how quiet your voice will be picked up. So try tilting your mic and find the right angle that has your sweet spot.

I thought this video would help me, but it didn't, I have a shure beta blx2 microphone and a blx4 receiver, when I talk into the microphone too close (about 3 cm) to my mouth, the signal breaks through, but when I move it further away, I get a much quieter signal. I tried to reduce the gain on the mixer, but it didn't help, I also turned on the -10db pad, with which I get too quiet a signal and I have to increase the gain a lot, so I get too much noise in the sound. do you have any advice?

Oh, and I forgot to say: CONDENSER MICROPHONES are incredibly more sensitive than dynamic microphones. I was recording a song one day, for the entire recording to be ruined by the sound of a toilet being flushed down the hall, which came through loud and clear on the recording!!! You can even hear the sound of the refrigerator in the room! 🤣🤣🤣 But that said, I find that I really can't effectively record using my EVO 8 to my laptop with a dynamic microphone. Not sure what the hell it is with these USB Interfaces, but their microphone preamps suck....I've tried a Motu but settled on the EVO 8 because all 4 inputs are XLR/Line and will accept inputs from a cellphone or tablet whereas with the Moto M4, the 2 inputs in the back are what they call "Professional Line Level" inputs. In other words, cellphones and tablets not allowed!

I have a cheapo mic from IDK where that is a webcam mic combo. When I play Fortnite it picks up the game audio as well. I found this video when trying to find a solution.

@@kettnercreative Thanks but I prefer not to wear headphones when gaming because many types of headphones won't stay on my head and any in-ear type of devices don't stay in my ears often falling out. And all though I do have a meh pair of headphones, I prefer to not wear them for gaming because when I wear headphones that don't fall off for long periods (Gaming sessions for me usually last at least an hour each or so) They hurt my ears (Due to pressure not noise, I don't blow out my ears like most people lol.)
