This is the special they showed constantly on Comedy Central in 2001. And I thought it was great. But then I saw him 3 times live, and every time he was still doing the same act. Even in 2005-2006 it was the same act.

You gotta realize the time frame. Today's comedy is extremely different. This was 2001. Trust me, this made me cry laughing back then. But yes judged through today's lens it might not be as funny to you. Just like comedies from the 70s are different. Same with comedy of the 40s and 50s.
