Made the black bean burger to go with it. YUM! Next time I’ll add some natural liquid smoke. They already tasted to great. And the texture really has the bite of a normal hamburger. This is a keeper.

Ok, I have to tell you! These are absolutely THE BEST buns I have ever eaten! Yes, I plan to make them bigger next time but wow, Wow, WOW! SO GOOD! I wish I could hug you! They taste EXACTLY like my Grandma's bread and I have been trying for years to find a recipe that tasted like hers. Yes, her bread, lol! She made the exact same recipe for bread, dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls but all her kids and grandchildren loved them all despite the fact that she started each with the same recipe.

Have been watching your bread making videos lately n really enjoyed it. You are really 👍with hand kneading method. Would like to try but my problems is measurement. In Asia here we are using kilos/grams more. Also American cups measurement are different(more). Those look so good, Kevin! All through the first months of Covid I made our bread, and still make most of it now. One of the best things about your beautiful hamburger buns is the fact that you know that everything in them is wholesome. I'm also a home cheesemaker and save the whey for making bread and use it instead of the water - Whey increases the protein and the bread takes on a wonderful, savory flavor.

Thanks you! I woke up and saw on my phone, how Wendy's has made a better breakfast menu. So instead of spending money on fast food, I decided I can make my own breakfast sandwich. Mind you I normally dont eat until about 1:00 or 2:00, so this was perfect to make in the morning for my lunch. My bread is almost doubled in size now. Yes, we have all become better cooks for the most part. I like baking and cooking in general. And a year and a half after we have been quarantined and now with the Delta variant present in large numbers, I am still at home and feel safer here than in restaurants.

I will make these today. I make lots of bread, here's a hint or two, I proof my bread in my oven with light on. I mix the sesame seeds in the egg wash, also when my bread is ready to bake I just turn on my oven, I don't preheat, it works great.

KLJ, I just made these buns exactly like you did and they are the most magnificent ethereal clouds of yeasty goodness I have ever put to my lips. I added 1 extra tablespoon of sugar and I am glad I did. Not sweet just good. Cost about $.18 to make all 8 large rolls. I buy all my ingredients in huge quantities from a restaurant supply store that sells to the public. So my cost is not an exaggeration. Usually I pay $3.00 for good quality buns for a pack of 8. Thank you so very much!

I want to try these, it only you 15 minutes to get them on the baking sheet. You asked how I am handling this pandemic, I have obeyed all the recommended procedures for the last six months. Then I decided to accept an invitation to an outdoor bar-b-que attended by 8 friends. One week later I got notice that one of the attendees has tested positive for COVID-19. Now we are all under quarantine. We have 5 more days of quarantine, so for we are all OK. It has taught me not to screw up, even a little.

I was determined to make these again but I didn't want to buy a new mixer just for a dough hook since my grandmother's vintage KitchenAid is still kicking. I decided to try my 450W 12 Cup Hamilton Beach food processor with the slicing blade. I put the liquid in first, then dry ingredients. Gave it a little mix with a spoon (not too much and in 1 direction), then turned it on for minute maybe 1.5 mins. I let it rest a couple of minutes, then mixed again for about a minute. It came out so smooth and very warm (don't over work it because of the heat). I followed Kevin's directions from that point except I sprinkle mine with Everything Bagel Seasoning. They were as delicious as my first icky, sticky batch I made by hand! 💕 See my other comment for a laugh. 😁

One pound of flour equals 3 cups. Not 3 1/2 cups. Thought my dough was looking awfully dry when attempting this. So I had to weigh it out myself to see. Yup, I put a half cup too much of flour in. Guess I’m the only dumbass not weighing the flour. Can’t believe no one else has caught this. I’m sure it’s a great recipe but damn, get the measurements right the first time bro. Almost ready to put them in the oven. Pretty certain they are going to come out a bit heavy and not too fluffy.

Hi I made these hamburger buns today and they didn't rise as much like yours the second time. I let them rise up only an hour the second rise. When I baked them they got bigger cooking them only for 25 minutes. Are these supposed to be naturally heavier because of the one egg that's put in also? Oh just noticed you only cooked yours for 15 - 17 minutes the tops of mine were harder than expected now I know why : /

I just took them out of the oven. They are too small.😟. Next time I will double the recipe then bake 4 at a time. We normally buy the large sized buns at the store and these are just too small. Oh, but could you possibly weigh your flour next time you make them? In grams if it's not too much trouble? My dough was really a wet dough so I finally had to add a bit more flour. I think that is probably my own fault but if I could weigh it, that would help.

Im making raw chicken and tuna salad. The meat isnt cooked, sometimes i will cook it, however im getting more power from the meat and it has the mayo taste to it to cover up the raw taste. Im also making potato/and beans and cheese stuffed potato with butter on the potato.

Some recipe the bread rolls looked wonderful glazed and Sesame seeds on top As this was filmed when when the Covid pandemic was going on I do remember the hoarding of food many people who've eaten good foodstuff all their lives let themselves and others in their communities down by leaving bare shelves in supermarkets abysmal time's for others who missed out but sometimes when you look back toilet paper supplies although needed were bought out 8n their millionss better days ahead for them now the pandemic is over

Hi, All, I have been looking at all the comments here and what I really want to know is do they hold up when they have the burger and salad inside them ? Everytime I get burger buns they tend to fall apart as soon as I fill them with the meat patties and salad items and are almost impossible to eat as a whole burger. Can anyone say please ?
