Foreign scientists have made our life both like Paradise and Hell. Paradise because of their inventions and findings. And Hell because I don't have good teachers who can make me understand these concepts. Alas!!

@Khan Academy India- English so if we increase V (CE) as per the scenario in the video, then 0.7 volt would no longer be the breakdown voltage for silicon semiconductor?? It would be greater than .7 Am I right?
@sunitasalunke80995 жыл бұрын
No, would be at .7 only but more current will go to I(c) so I(b) would decrease as I(c) + I(b)= I(e) and I(e) should be constant as it has nothing to do with V ce.... Hope you got it..

Sir at 02:07 You called it the output voltage What is the reason for it being called the output voltage? Is it because electrons flow towards it? Because I see an arrow mark pointing downwards from it rather than towards it Kindly clarify sir
@ECSowmyaM3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is called so because of the flow of electron in it
@ECSowmyaM3 жыл бұрын
The arrow mark indicates the current direction Current direction will be the opposite of the electron direction
@abcdefg-hv2ks9 ай бұрын
Really old comment but I thought i'd answer it if anyone else has the same question! The reason why the arrow is pointing in the direction opposite to electron flow is because the arrow actually follows the *conventional current* The conventional current assumes holes to be moving, not electrons. Thus, if the convention says current flows right, it means the electrons are actually flowing left. Weird, but it just stuck after hundreds of years, lol.

sir, I have one doubt as you are mentioning one point.. in base recombination happens which means electrons from n-type material come and recombine with holes in p-type(which is less doped ) recombination means just the destruction of charge carriers, right? then how does that recombination help to get a few electrons out of from base? i thought as we given less voltage that is 0.7ev which only attracts few electrons because of that voltage? correct me if i am wrong sir??
@nandinitayal45164 жыл бұрын
Why would the output voltage affect the input current though? I didn't get that part.
@nishtha_shukla_phy3 жыл бұрын
Search Early effect in transistor dear. Op voltage increases width of CB junction depletion layer as it is reverse bias so IB will decrease.

Sir,i h've a question.. If we increase Vce,then Ib is decreasing But by increasing output voltage Ic will increase.. Then arent we getting a change in beta?? Can you clarify this?
@lakshitadixit5 Жыл бұрын
Because current does not depend on voltage it depends on no of flow of charges per second.
@easy-peasy9906 Жыл бұрын
