Technique and recipe was spot on. Added grated ginger to the garlic just for kicks, and it worked well. Would love to have a commercial kitchen-strength gas hob!...sigh

Khoan, Are you based in Hull? I live in Skegness . I'm aware you have a take away, Do you have a restaurant also? I'll make the trip for a meal if so. I'm loving your video's I cooked char siu pork last night and it was lovely. My girlfriend was as excited as your little girl was in your spare rib video. I said in a comment yesterday, for me Chinese food as always had that air of mystery about it and thanks to you not only can I see the magic I'm finally learning to cook it also. What I'll never be able to do is accurately judge time like that. I mean the first ingredient goes in the pan at 2:23 and he says all done at 3:21 and "reckons that was about a minute". HOW?

@@KhoanVong No I mean you managed to judge exactly 1 minute in your head, almost to the second, without using a timer. When I'm cooking I can't remember how long anything has been in the pan. It could have been in there a minute...could have been 5...who knows?
