That’s absolutely true. I work security all these people that end up hurt, killed, even arrested, their family always say they was good people, always go church, cared for his family which are pastors and priests, never do anything wrong. Which is true to some extent. But sometimes it’s the smallest things like back talking someone with a gun and having an ego during a heated argument that has such a cruel outcome. Not worth it just say ok and walk away.

You don't know what was said, if the guy knew he had a gun, if they knew each other, maybe they argued several times before and the victim did back down several times, you don't know what the whole argument was about.

I'm guessing that nobody heard any gunshots, because there's always illegal fireworks going on in that area almost every single night. Last night there were loads of fireworks being set off in and around that area, and it would be very difficult to tell the difference between fireworks and a couple of gunshots. I am very familiar with the area, because I live right down the street, and went to Honowai Elementary a long time ago. People around here were going nuts with the fireworks and illegal aerials last night. Truth and fact.

Often young people think they have a duty to try and stand up for their friends and community in the face of aggression, but don't know how to recognize when someone is ready to kill. This is a story of someone who died fighting for their community. I hope his killer is brought to justice and that his community can enjoy the new safety that this young person died fighting for.
