@@MasterChief37 just perfect. I only used one app during the whole trip, Circle K since their superchargers works well, are well priced and could be found every time we needed to strech our legs. The car itself is just wonderful. 2 adults and 3 small children and all our luggage had plenty of room.

Please be aware of the fact that EV9 can manually precondition to some 10%. No need to cstop preconditionin or route a charger around 20%

That is impressive for such a large EV, another reason to buy one, unfortunately in Canada they are not easy to get, Kia Canada does not support the Canadian market very well. In the USA they are sitting on the lot and moving fast!I really want to upgrade my 2020 Soul EV LImited to this but dealer said they are hard to get.

Interesting you run the system/charger language in Norwegian vs say Bjorn who changes it to English saw the efficiency but no idea what the words above it said not being a Norwegian or anywhere near Scandinavian countries. Those Alpitronics hardware where you charged with the contactless payment option?

There is literally one sentence in Norwegian on the screen I show (since reset), and I explain what the information contains. Everything else is either in English or on symbols 😅

I have an EV 9 GT line. I notice you drive in ECO mode but with regen set at L3. Some seasoned EV drivers suggest setting regen to L0 or coasting to get best range. Apparently when regen is set higher lifting the foot off the accelerator means more aggressive regen which then requires additional energy to accelerate again to reach desired speed. A general note on charging. I sweat bricks on my first trip because the car and charger didn’t communicate after plugging in. Apparently, the car must be locked during the negotiation phase between car and charger. I have had no problems since. Also, some of charging cables are like wrestling with a huge anaconda snake; they are heavy and stiff. Applying pressure on the charger plug to ensure good connection helps. According to my KIA dealer locking the car during the negotiation and applying pressure to charger plugs in the direction of the car are steps required by the EU to reduce risks of sparks. Any comments on this appreciated.

Most, if not all EVs today have blended braking. That means there is a fixed amount of braking pressure that will always use regen instead of physical brakes. For most cars, you never use the physical bakes unless you are braking hard. I have tested several cars (Kia e-Soul, Polestar 2, Kia EV6 etc) with and without regen, and get the same consumption. Further more, by range and long trip tests are done driving almost 100% with cruise control. So the car will always manage its drivetrain the most efficient.
