Kia Sonet Hindi Review - Here's our detailed road test review of the Korean carmaker's third product. Set to challenge the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and Toyota Urban Cruiser, the Kia Sonet has multiple powertrain options. It will be launched in a 1.2L petrol with 5-speed Manual, 1.0-litre turbo with 7-speed DCT automatic, 6-speed iMT, 1.5L diesel with a 6-speed manual and 1.5L diesel with 6-speed torque converter. That means it has a powertrain option for anyone to everyone. We tested its 1.5L diesel AT version that puts out 113bhp and 250Nm, it's the same engine that does duty in the Kia Seltos. We also tested the turbo petrol iMT version of the vehicle. This is the same powertrain that made its debut with the Hyundai Venue recently.

Space is the biggest issue in this car. The seats are narrow and three people CANNOT sit in the back. I wish they had reduced the boot space a bit and increased the seating space.

Korean cars usually have a lot of features, may be they have understood that Indian buyers give those a bit more importance than what those actually deserve. Driving dynamics and safety features are average. Lack of dual clutch gearbox, which will usually be driver's delight (after manual of course), is missing, and it kind of sums up the strategy Kia and Hyundai have been opting. Rear seats are a disappointment as well as the cladding on C pillar.

Absolutely Had lots of expectation and i understand why Ecosport is still the king.. features will be appealing for just 2 months after that driving dynamics and practicality matters and sonnet fails in both.. neither good feedback from steering wheel and overall driving dynamics is bad. And back seat is a joke no legroom and 3 people can't even seat properly and suspension is stiffer i even hate venues suspension it is even stiffer than that. But still the handling sucks..! Features and look alone doesn't make sense I still believe EcoSport,Xuv300, and Nexon is far far better than sonnet
