Thanks, been sitting on this task for a while. No cruise control for ages. Finally completed it today and was surprised how easy it went. Car is back fully functioning 👍🇦🇺

Thank you for the video, very helpful. Wasn't sure about the plug into the back of the airbag unit and didn't want anything breaking off in the unit. Great video, clear and concise.

Excellent. Finally, a video worth seeing. Step by step on how to change the clockspring. And the subtitles are the best to keep everything in order in my own brain.

Does it matter to turn the wheels before replacement? Is it best on straight wheels or twisted?
@monteez692 жыл бұрын
Best practice is to get your wheels straight before removing the steering column. This is for easy reinstatement afterwards so that your wheels and steering will be perfectly align. Clocksprings generally consist of a flat multicore cable wound in a spiral shape…and you don’t want to install this on a twisted steering/ wheel. So, I would say best to do on straight.

Whats the part number of the spring? Im seeing two different sets on the net, one ending in 1u325fff and the other ending 2p170?
@monteez693 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard Mendoza, for this particular model the part number of the Clockspring is 93490-2P170. But you need to check your car VIN number to ensure it is compatible or not.

After replacing mine with 2 new different clocks springs, I still have the Air bag lights on. Any suggestions?
@monteez692 жыл бұрын
There are many reasons for the airbag light alarm stays ON - Some of the reasons are faulty airbag module (steering airbag), weak battery, faulty sensors, damage clockspring etc's. If changing your clockspring a couple times did not help, i suggest you get it diagnosed (OBD) at the workshop to identify the real cause. It might just need to reset the check light only...or something else. BTW you need to install the correct clockspring according to the car specifications. Good luck and drive safe...cheers.

if you don't have the 22mm, you. can use the 4way cross wrench you got in your car for changing tyres, and save yourself $$
