The way you shifted the nail down from your cuticle and added a thin layer builder gel is the same way Korean nail techs actually apply their tips. You rarely ever see them put the tips close to the cuticles. ( They do the so the tips look more natural) Honestly you don't really need to blend the tip, all you have to do is rough up the surface so that the builder gel can adhear and then add a thin layer of builder gel from the cuticle like you do for a fill. Also one thing that made the process a lot easier for me is getting the uv goose neck flash cure light from Amazon, it made the application process how much faster and less frustrating.

Really great video! 🤩🥰 Maybe the medium almond tips would fit your nails better? I have them and I have the opposite problem, my nails are so small so I have to file the tips a little bit 😆 and yes it's a lot easier to apply them on someone else! Much harder to do on yourself 😅 the hardest part for me is to get the tips straight 😂 Even though I have had my almond and coffin gelly tips for a while I still enjoy watching tutorials and reviews of them 😆😍 and I just want to add that you can't get mold on your nails, you can't get mold anywhere on the body. It has to be dead and rotten to get mold. I think you're referring to greenies and that's bacteria due to moisture that has been trapped 🙂 BUT, if you apply a layer of gel on the nail and cure it and THEN apply the tips with the gel it doesn't matter that much if you get some bubbles as it's not in direct contact with the nail, therefore bacteria can't start to grow. As long as it's not a lot of big bubbles it shouldn't affect the durability too much 😊 🌸

I got this exact kit and tried it on Friday and it took me 4 hours. And I feel like the tips I got are WAY longer than yours, but I also ordered short almond. But I have very curved nails and I have to add more builder gel underneath to fill the lift that was underneath. I’m honestly wondering if I’ll be able to figure this system out or if the tips just won’t work for my nail anatomy. Thanks for the video!

I’m one of those people who don’t etch the tip or the nails. I just clean and dehydrate my nails, builder gel my nail, squish the tip on and cure it. They have definitely stayed on for at least a week doing this. I like to change my nails a lot so it doesn’t bother me that they don’t last too long. It’s been months since I have used them maybe end of 2019 was the last time and from what I remember they lasted at least 1 and up to 2 weeks without falling off. Maybe you could try and experiment cutting out some steps to make the process quicker for doing them on yourself. I found the time they took and all the different steps really frustrating and got bored and tired which usually never happens because I love nails.

I was very curious about these but it did seem kind of hard from watching other videos so I love how honest you were about how difficult it was. Because I like quick and easy. And honestly I can get my tips to last for a long time without having to replace them so I can’t see a benefit to spending that much money on something that’s so hard.

It was so super difficult to use. 😭 Maybe it gets better the more you do if but they are advertised as being quick and easy and unfortunately they were the exact opposite for me.

Thank you so much for your honest review! I watched videos on Kiara Sky and the people who used the Gelly Tips, used different type of tips made it look easy. My thumb and middle finger is wide, I know my feelings will be hurt when I use them. I wonder if you can use Apres tips with Kiara Sky system, they might have wider tips.

You can apply any gel made tips with any kind of builder gel honestly. But it's not just the way the tips are made, it was also the application for me. I don't know if a different tip will make it better? But I will keep in mind to check out the Aprés tips. Thank you for suggesting that.

I use this set. It does get better when you do the process more. I use the medium coffin nails. Maybe changing the tips might help.

You could try the clear nail clips. You can also use nail glue with the full coverage tips.

It’s strange that they are all the same length. I have ordered the short coffin and the short almond but I was going to cut the tip off the short almond to make extra short coffin because I’ve had a few people ask for extra short coffin press on nails. Is there any chance you could tell us exactly how long the almond ones are please? I asked Kiara sky on Instagram but they messaged back and said they didn’t know 🤔🤣 I’m wondering if the coffin ones will be all the same now too, guess I will find out when they get here. Nice video and I wish they had these out when I got my kit. I have bigger nails too I guess, now what to do with all the small sizes? They need a traid in program. The nails are hard to do but it is easier the next time around. I also found doing it one nail at a time. Start to finish one nail at a time worked best for me (after all the perp) That way if the baby needed me or the dog needed out I didn't run the risk of getting something on or messing up the start of the mani. Hope this helps I hope you let us know how long they last and if you do it on someone else how it goes.

It is easier to do on other people so hopefully you'll get to use it on your mom or mother in law! If you get to use them on your mom or mom in law I'd love to see it! ALSO maybe you could order some different full cover tips from Amazon or something like that (cheap) and use everything that came in the kit but use different tips? I love this shape on you so much! I do this with regular tips I get on Amazon! I can't shape anything ahaha so this is a life saver for me. It's super weird that these are all the same length, and that you had to size so big for all your fingers. It's not like your nail beds are super wide or anything... You should try this with regular tips! I use a different lamp on its side so I can put my hand in front of the sensor. I get my tips on in about 20 mins per hand and that's including the etching, dehydrator and primers and all that. I have a video on my channel, it may be helpful if you want... ALSO! I have to tell you girlfriend, you always have the best and cutest backgrounds! Where do you get your backgrounds? Are they like placemats?

these short ones are soooo fucking difficult no joke. it’s the only gelly tips set i sent back. your nail shape would probably benefit from the sculpted apres stiletto which are more like an almond shape but they’re long enough that when doing on yourself you can hold it in the same position you start to push the tip down onto your mail from if that makes sense. these ones are so ducking difficult to use without liquid gel. poly gel i’ve heard is the best way to do ones that are hard to grip. alsooooooo either the kokoist cake mini lamp which has a sensor and it’s easy to get ur hand under. or a pin cure hand held mini light

The Kiara Sky gelly tips are definitely not made for wide nail beds. The stiletto size 0 is too small for my thumbs. I also have the medium coffin and long coffin, however those size 0's do fit my thumb. It does get easier as you go!

My nails are pretty curved when you see them from the side... these nails fit me horrible. If I press the nail down on the cuticle area of my natural nail, then the tip sticks up at a weird angle. If I press down the false nail on the middle or the end of my natural nail, then the cuticle part stuck up and leaves a gap. Long story short, unless your nails are paper flat, these nails are horribly shaped and won’t fit you 😕 even the apres natural nails (not the sculpted ones I haven’t tried those) fit my nails fine. These kiara sky ones are so flat.

💫💫I used builder gel the first time I used gel nails and it was extremely difficult but I've found that if you use polygel it's very easy and I bought from Enailcouture and Aliexpress and the ones I got from Aliexpress are really wide and they melt in acetone in a couple minutes it took way longer for the Enailcouture ones to melt I only paid under $5 for the Aliexpress ones and they're awesome TYSMFS
