Just got to say that I love how you specifically mentioned one well known trope about character death when it comes to the superhero genre, if there's no body or other physical proof that the character is in fact dead than they are likely not dead. He was my favorite character from Young Justice; I couldnt sit still with them "killing off" my favourite character. Ok, so I heard that in the comics Wally did in fact got stuck in the speed force for like a decade and was only brought back durning a war against darkseid, all aged up and with a CRAZY power boost, so I know we went two seasons without him being brought back, but if Razor (that red/blue/pepsi lantern) still hopes to find Aya after their show ended who are we to give up hope? Besides it's not like the writers forgotten kid flash, and they certainly don't want us, the viewers to forget, he has had cameo and mentioned in both season 3 and 4, if he was really going to stay dead they would've left a body and stoped poking the wound. However, ironic as it may be for a speedster I think it's going to take a LOOONG time for that to happen, as I said in the comic it only happened durning a war against darkseid, so probably the finale, specially since he is gonna bring like a real big power creep otherwise.

Wally was slower because he had mental blocks. Thinking he will never take Barry's place. Even when he first became Flash, he doubted himself. I forgot what storyline it was but he eventually overcame his doubts and became faster than Barry.

I like the theory that he travelled in time or travelled dimensions theory. Even though KF isn't fast enough on his own to do it, he was running behind Flash and Impulse so he could have siphoned off their speed, in addition to getting all the chrysalis energy, making is possible to travel in time instead of disintegrating. A speedster taking someone else's speed/energy to travel in time has been done before as well as the tachyon particles being used.

If the Flashes' kinetic energy was being used to dispel the Reach device's kinetic energy, then it stands to reason that they were two opposing energies. Positive versus negative, even. Which means that Kid Flash's weaker positive kinetic energy was attacked and overwhelmed by the device's negative energy, which vaporized him. He wasn't supercharged by the attack, because he was still moving at the same speed. So time travel clearly didn't happen.

If you look up the mapping of the DC multiverse the speedforce surrounds all of the DC universes not including the godly planes of existence. This is the writers of DC comics telling the world that every DC universe is connected to the speedforce so everyone who says the speedforce doesn't exist in young justice doesn't know what they are asking about.

Maybe he wouldn't be a villain, but there could be control chips or inhibitor chips (upgrades from inhibitor collars in the 21st century) which make or force him to turn. That or it might be a version of the future where Darkseid finds the Anti-Life equation and has control over the universe, and Wally being from the 21st century traveling to the 31st (going off of the Legion Of Superheros ring at the end of Season 3) he isn't under Darkseid's control, and the Legion of Superheros is a resistance group he made of people who he managed to free from Darkseid's control somehow. That or he's a lone wolf up against the entire might of Apokolips and Darkseid. He may also actually have gained the ability to run faster than Flash and Impulse as a result of either entering the speed-force or from something else, letting him manage to escape and hide from Darkseid when necessary, and disrupt his operations when and how he pleases.

Basically, the reason Barry Bart and Wally ran was because their energy would create a funnel effect sending the energy upwards instead of outwards. if superman and Shazam ran around, they would risk themselves for literally no reason as they don't create and energy field like that. I've always liked the idea of the Speedforce not being discovered in the Young Justice Universe and Wally disappearing was him discovering it and getting trapped. And maybe he could return introducing the Speedforce officially. Edit: Maybe they could also have Wally pop up randomly in a future episode. The accident sent him in time to that very moment. They could have some stories about how everyone has moved on without him but he's stayed the same. Similar to Rebirth.

I believe it will be time travel because if you remember after Impulse saves Neutron, there is a scene at the end where Neutron (as a human again) realizes that although he was saved, nothing else has changed. I think they will build on that and maybe more of Impulse's backstory will come out. That's what I'm hoping for anyway

Greg Weisman said several times that he doesn't like or appreciate the concept of the Speed Force in the comics. This is because the Speedforce has been lazily used as a Deus Ex Machina many times in the comics. He poked fun at it by saying that if the Speedforce generates speed, then there should be a Strength force as well for generating strength. Funnily enough, the Strength force has been recently introduced as a concept in the Flash comics, along with the Sage Force.

Although this wasn't technically disproved in season 3, his plot was wrapped up in a very powerful way and I don't think the writers would bring him back after that. There are a lot of times where the main crew thinks about Wally in a battle but I think this just further proves he isn't coming back.

A simpler way to look at and use this theory is to make Kid Flash be launched forward in time. Either so far forward that he gets trapped and held hostage by Eobard Thawn (not sure about spelling) or just pops out as an inciting incident to kick off the third season.
