@@HeyJD123 If you subscribed to the service the phone company provided a little box that sat next to the phone and displayed the number that was calling. You had to pay for the feature or a package that came with it. Caller ID was very common in the 90s. It was so common we know to use *67 to hide our phone number from caller ID and *77 to reject calls from people who hid their numbers. If we skipped school we tried to get home before our parents and clear the number off the caller ID and erase the message from the answering machine, even if you had voice mail it probably wasn't set up because the answering machine was easier to use.

Can’t say I’m surprised CH hasn’t been funny for a long time, I stopped watching a while ago when I realised every video is as funny as the title that explains the entirety of the joke.
