Also another tip you can do a protein treatment on their hair once or twice a month. Because if you always keep deep conditioning the hair will get limped. That’s called moisture overload. To help that you just need to do a protein treatment. Some protein treatments you can do like rice water, egg mask, and avocado mask.
@kailyn78954 жыл бұрын
That's very true. The Shea Moisture strengthening conditioner she used is a protein conditioner. Most products that say strengthen/restore/rebuild are protein based. But yes it's very important to balance Moisture and protein.

Just boil some regular rice, take out the rice and drain the water seversl times. Place in spray bottle 1-2 days before you wash the hair. AND LOTS OF IT!!! mosturise it into the scalp and just don't be shy with it! The result is amazing and your girls hair will thank you for it!!

I think the same thing like shes actually doing her daughter hair. There so many mixed families and not even, so many of our own black families that dont make time for their kids hair. I have to say your daughters will be so happy and blessed when they are older and have beautiful, long, thick, and strong hair. My mom found it very hard to take care of me and my sister and herself and to be honest I'm paying for it now because we didn't take the time to do protective styles, it's very damaged, thin edges, and loving my hair is a ongoing process. I'm 26 years old and went natural for the first time at 24. I see you taking care of both your daughters hair and I wish I was educated much early on. Again, they will have fabulous hair when they are older and it will add so much confidence in loving their hair when they are older. Much love!

Yes another great video! It sounds so weird, but I get a little teary eyed about how much you care for her hair. It’s admirable. I know sometimes it’s intimidating do hair textures you’re not used to, but I love that you’re acknowledging that the treatment process is different for her hair. Often times I see parents who may have adopted and the child’s hair isn’t put together. This is probably because they don’t know how to deal with it (which makes sense) the difference is you took the time out to LEARN!!! I’m so happy for these sweet girls. You’re so proactive 💕🎉🙌🏽

You do a great job with your girls hair. And i would like to give a unsolicited suggestion. When you are washing their hair you can twist it up and it will help to keep it detangled. So I would do a partial detangle prior to shampooing or while shampooing I would put the hair in four sections and twist it and then untwist one at a time when I shampoo and condition. This helps to keep the hair detangled for after.

This just popped up on my feed and I'm so glad it did! I have to say I appreciate what you're doing so much. I am Mexican and white ( 3B hair) and my mom never knew how to take care of my hair, it was not her fault she didn't know how to take care of it, and she was a single mom with a lot on her plate. It was constantly relaxed , greased and flat ironed. It absolutely ruined my hair. I continued with this kind care up until I got pregnant with my daughter and after 6 years, I'm finally seeing all the damage done repair itself. It's been harder to learn proper care for my hair type this late in life, but I'm hoping to teach my daughter the same as you are yours. Thank you for educating yourself on her hair and really taking care of it. She will be so grateful when she gets older (although I'm sure she already is!) So many girls want straight when they have curly hair because they aren't properly taught or feel it's too big a hassle but there is so much beauty in natural hair, and you are teaching them this young which is absolutely amazing! You have a beautiful family. Have only watched this one video but you have a new sub. Can't wait to get into more! Stay happy and healthy! ✌ ❤

I love how she doesn't try to take them away from they're race and natural culture. She teaches them about it and even through they're hair. You have so many Caucasian parents who adopt African American kids and take that away from them and they can't embrace they're culture and race and know what all we went through. She keeps that in her African American kids and not only that but she continues to do hairstyles of the African American culture and she doesn't use any other shampoos or conditionings for her hair she uses products that work for the African American hair. And I noticed that other KZbinrs use conditioners and shampoos that Caucasians would use on they're African American kids and that's not right. These kids may grow up in a Caucasian home and may have differences as they grow up because they aren't too exposed to they're side of the family unless they are still in touch with the actual parents but you are making sure they're culture is never forgotten !!!

Another tip for helping with hair growth and styling is learning about hair porosity. That goes for all types of hair too not just 4c. Porosity is the way your hair takes in moisture: low porosity means the hair cuticle is closed so heat will allow it to open up and let moisture and products in. Low porosity is hard to get moisture in but it also stays in for a while. High porosity is the opposite, the hair cuticle is open making moisture and product easy to get in but also easy to leave.
@ItsJasDarling4 жыл бұрын
Amazing! I’ve been natural all my life but I have stopped using heat on my hair for a year now. Shea moisture, Cantu, and African Pride has been my favorite products on my natural journey.The growth is crazy! During this quarantine I started to really get to know my hair and watched videos on how to protective style my hair. Twists have been my friend after wash days and I leave them in for a week or so. It give the chance for the hair to grow and the scalp to breathe when you leave the hair alone and people fail to realize we touch our hair A LOT lol. Great job mama😊 P.S. can you do a quick video on products you may use for each of your children’s hair?

Trust me her hair is getting long already. I had to learn this the hard way type 4 hair grows out before it goes down! When you choose to straighten it again your gonna be stunned

I love how you don’t force her to get a perm or straighten her hair. You’re teaching her to love her hair and that’s a beautiful thing. It took me a long time to love my hair and if someone was doing these styles in my head instead of just getting the hot comb or straightening my hair then it wouldn’t of took me so long to love my hair

This amazes me. I am black, and my mother is black, and she did not know how to do my hair when I was growing up. She would send me to the local beauty school and have them straighten it and then made sure I stayed away from water.

I really respect this. From any mom. Because doing hair especially sundays for school. Its just time consuming. So hood on you. U obviously seem invested in her hair.
