The main issue is Lesly’s death was ruled “Undetermined” by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. This makes it very difficult for Jose to serve any major time since the only crime that can be proven against him is “Improper disposal of a corpse.” Even if they find Erick, it is going to be very hard to charge with murder due to the coroner’s offices findings. Lesly’s body had no signs of injury which makes the overdose a very legitimate possibility. Without a confession from Erick, he’ll probably do very little time. Erick is probably guilty but they have no real proof that he killed Lesly. It’s going to be difficult to convince a jury of that.

Who did the judge let go? The dad was sentenced to two years! And that’s without anyone having established for a fact if she was actually murdered, or how…. Yes, he did help his son escape, and he did help remove evidence, and help him put her body in the truck - but that’s basically all we know! We don’t know the exact cause of death - and we don’t know if law enforcement is withholding information that will be released when they put him on trial. Yes, it’s extremely likely that the young man has some level of responsibility in her death - but that doesn’t rule out OD! However, did he drug her without her knowledge, or did he give her drugs that she took knowingly? Yes, there were blood stains on a shirt, but was it from her or from him? And if from her, what was the reason there were blood? There might have been urine, feces, and vomit as well - it’s also possible she was having her period, and it doesn’t take much blood to make a mess - so lots of things to clean up, but none of it proves she was killed with intention! Hopefully they will catch the young man soon, and put him on trial, and hopefully then we will all become more informed!

@@cjgem80 In the State of Nevada, knowing if a family member has done something, isn't a crime! It's not a crime to clean your house either. It hasn't been proven that a murder took place - and there weren't any indications of there having been a lot of blood. There were a few stains of blood, including on a shirt, but no conclusions on if it was from her. It's quite possible that the son did tell the truth, and that she died from an OD. If she did, then it would be nice to know if she took the drugs herself and if he provided it, or if he drugged her without her knowing it. If we take a look at the father's sentence, then it gives us a clue to what kind of evidence the DA have (unless Law Enforcement and the DA is withholding evidence to be used during interrogation and following trial of the son when they catch him). He was charged with Gross Misdemeanor, so either he were charged based on what he thought had occurred (helping his son committing a Gross Misdemeanor by removing her dead body), or he was charged based on evidence, or rather lack of evidence, due to it being impossible to prove that it wasn't a Gross Misdemeanor. We just know the father pleaded guilty to Gross Misdemeanor and was sentenced to the longest possible duration of time according to the law.

If Lesly was overdosed why didnt they rush her to the hospital? The probability that she was murdered is very high. I hope Eric would be traced, arrested, tried and convicted. Flight is indicative of guilt. The fact that Eric told his friend that one day he would need his friend's help makes the killing pre-meditated.

100% was sexually driven, very premeditated since he really did call the "friend." Probably bought her drinks allll night...& maybe even roofied her but she maybe fought back so he snapped while in the act of S.A. Why else was her underwear on wrong? Yea seems obvious dude is a full on sicko & his dad is just as bad. Dude needs life & Dad, as well as Mom & sister lying about knowing. What a convenient cover for him helping get rid of her dead body. Horrible.
@dannysigurdson71083 ай бұрын
It seems quite possible to me that he had spiked her drinks, especially after seeing the dramatic difference in apparent intoxication level between the time she got in the truck for the last time and then when she had to be practically carried out of it. He took advantage of her, and the combination of (likely) some benzodiazepine (against her knowledge) and her somewhat heavy drinking could very well have killed her. And his (scumbag) actions (and dad's testimony) all seem to fit from there.

He got the hardest sentence the judge could give! Also, they haven't proven that an actual murder took place! What the dad did was stupid yes - he helped put the body in the truck and helped clean up the room - and ended up going with his son to Mexico! In a moment of bad judgement he let his love for his son cloud his mind and became a criminal by helping him - but he didn't play a role in killing her. From what we know, it might very well be true that she OD:ed - and if that's the case, why should he serve much longer? Sure, it's possible she was killed, it's also possible the dad was watching it happen - but fact is, we don't know - and neither does anyone else!

Someone overdoses, normal people call 911. You don’t even know if she’s dead yet. You don’t carry the body of someone that just overdosed across state lines and try to burn it. Those are the actions of a murderer trying to dispose the body. Even the mom and sister were on camera moving furniture. Dad was getting ready for church too before he decided to help dispose the body. That family is a piece of work.

@MysteryMan7258 ай бұрын

@@MDCxThePG No, I'm in these comment threads correcting wrong information and combatting knee-jerk reactions regarding a case where so far, the only crimes we know for sure the father committed were helping remove the dead body, do some cleaning, and help his son go to Mexico - "harbouring a fugitive" is according to the Nevada Revised Statute 195.030 part of Accessory (after the fact), and thus part of what the father has admitted to and already been convicted of. My example was a "we don't know if" - and I haven't been able to find anything in Nevada's Criminal Codes that states that the father/family is committing a crime if they have an idea of where in Mexico their son is - perhaps you can find the relevant statute where it says it's a crime? It would be if they harboured him at home, but simply having an idea where he possibly is, is quite different...
