@amitsalam14 жыл бұрын
@@mittensmcghee4916 Well when I go to the Faqs section of their website I see that it will be FDIC insured ( bankgreenwood.com/faqs/ ). And you maybe are confusing rules as they pertain to public companies (like those which are on the NASDAQ or NYSE) for those who are private companies. Greenwood Bank is a private company founded by 3 men. (1 of the 3 being Killer Mike.) Since private companies do not raise money from the investing public, they are not subject to the same disclosure laws as public companies. Investors in private companies are considered to be sufficiently well informed about their investment decisions so as not to require the protection of disclosure laws. Now if he chooses to disclose who the investors are that's a decision which his partners and he have to agree on. Everything isn't a conspiracy and one can be as altruistic as they want to be (to the level of Jesus Christ to those who believe in him) but fundamentally, someone has to pay for it. (Jesus had to pay for it.) Nothing in life is free.

@@VentureHolly I don't know what man's true nature is. I think it's complex. And depending on someones life experience/world view, they'll have their own POV of who man is, the purpose of man, why we're here etc. I grant you your argument concerning habits of hunter-gatherers plus what you mention as far as capitalism and meritocracy. Even what you said about the proletariats being at each others throats. ...Unfortunately anything in excess is never good. I think we should practice balance. That phrase that you zoned in on is basically saying that in life (forget the artificial systems we have cooked up (politics, religion, class etc.)) there are simply trade offs and compromises which need to be made. Nature: she makes these trade offs organically. Man being part of Nature, we do this too. In regards to the example you used of hunter-gatherer societies, the trade off is self interest for that of the group. Thus, nothing in life is free.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Clarification on Greenwood's FDIC partners pending. Geenwood Rep. stated they were working with traditional and black banks and at this time we cannot disclose due to ongoing legal discussions. And would be updating the website in the short term with the name of their member FDIC partners.

That’s all good, and I’m on the waiting list- but are you going to work towards giving Blacks and Latinos loans, and extend credit to people with low credit? Because any bank can profit off of and loan out my money, but most aren’t really trying to serve me.

Mike needs to seriously get healthy. All the money in the world can’t buy another day with your kids your friends etc. Take that same energy and inspire our people to get in shape physically. 2 cents 🤷🏿♂️

Black identity is as racist as white identity. Racism is an objective thing. Not saying black identity isn't a thing, or worth thinking about, but to act on it on a business level or political level is racist. Imagine "White owned Bank". Just reverse the race and re-ask the question if you still don't know what racism is.

This video is very helpful, what African Diaspora Economic needs is an Economic Movement, infrastructure and agenda. My organization Renaissance Action National Network is organizing our 1st Annual Asiactic black Diaspora Economic Summit and Movement in 2022. There are things the black community aren't discussing, that's needed to move forward.
