Kimchi Fried Rice Scotch Eggs with H Mart | Let's H Mart!

Hypnotize yourself with the sound and movements of the Kimchi Fried Rice Scotch Egg! Instead of the boiled egg being wrapped in sausage meat, we use delicious kimchi fried rice. Then, it’s coated in breadcrumbs and fried for an amazing crunch. Check out the recipe below! ⁠
Ingredients:⁠
1/3 cup Oil⁠
1/3 cup Scallions, sliced⁠
3 cups Kimchi⁠
1 tbsp Sugar⁠
2/3 tbsp Red Pepper Powder⁠
2/3 tbsp Jin Soy Sauce⁠
2 tsp Sesame Oil⁠
1 bowl Rice⁠
1 tbsp Red Pepper Paste⁠
1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese⁠
1 Half-Boiled Egg⁠
Frying Mix⁠
Flour⁠
1 Egg⁠
Breadcrumbs⁠
Frying Oil⁠
⁠
Sauce:⁠
1 tbsp Ketchup⁠
1 tbsp Sriracha⁠
1 tsp black pepper!⁠

1. On low heat, add oil and sliced scallions and mix. ⁠
2. Then, add kimchi, sugar, red pepper powder, Jin soy sauce and sesame oil and stir-fry together for about 4 minutes. ⁠
3. Grab a bowl of rice and place the stir-fried kimchi on top. Add red pepper paste and mix thoroughly. Add 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese to help make the rice stick together and set aside.⁠
4. Prepare the half-boiled egg (cooked for about 5 minutes), a bowl of frying mix mixed with flour at a 1:1 ratio, a bowl of one beaten egg and a bowl of breadcrumbs.⁠
5. Peel the half-boiled egg and then coat slightly with the flour mixture. ⁠
6. Take the rice from step 3 and flatten it out onto a plate. Wrap it around the egg and shape.⁠
7. Roll it around the flour mixture, then egg, then breadcrumbs. ⁠
8. Fry at 356F until golden brown and pair together with the delicious special sauce! Tip: To check if the oil is ready, add a speck of breadcrumb into the pot. If it jumps right back up, it’s hot enough to fry!⁠
