I actually started developing carpal tunnel a couple months after getting my paperwhite because the way I was holding my folio case strained my wrist! I wish I had known about those strap things or thought to use a pop socket! I did invest in a page turner and floor stand that was a total game changer/lifesaver, especially after abdominal surgery. Great video! Agree the remote turner and pillow is extra but I got mine recently and it is a game changer! The ability to angle the stand exactly right for reading in bed on my side, or raising it up in my lap for a more ergonomic neck position, is so comfortable.

I use a screen protector for when i have a clear, rubber case on with no face. I like the feel of the kindle too, so i use a matte screen protector. It is the same feel plus protection

If people are non-commital about a PopSocket they also offer MagSafe PopSockets. I guess the only downside is you have to have the magnet adapter stuck to your Kindle case but you can change out the socket part to different designs. 🎀

I had the kindle voyage and loved it, but they discontinued it. I do not like the shape of the Oasis so when I got my new kindle I got the latest papers hit which had all the functionality of my voyage except press to turn which is now only on the Oasis. I really miss that function.

They have page turners that come with 3 parts. Part A to go on one side and Part B on the other and a remote with an A and B button so you can turn the page forwards or backwards.

If anyone cares, here is my 8-year review of my Paperwhite. I've had my Paperwhite since 2018, so coming up to 7 years now. I always use a folio case but they are not indestructible. I have dropped my kindle more times than I can count and there are some chips at the corners (I wouldn't test how waterproof it is anymore or take it to the beach/bathtub). The screen has a gouge at one part and has some very thin scratches, but this hasn't really impacted my reading experience since I rarely notice them. Battery still lasts for a couple of weeks even after all those years of use. All of this to say, I'm very very happy with its durability and will keep on using it until it dies on me. I'm a klutz and it's still alive, which is saying a lot. And the size means it's perfect to carry around in a small purse.

I made the mistake of skipping a screen protector on my kindle paperwhite and unfortunately the screen got scratched within a few months. It’s very noticeable when I read on it. 😢 I think it happened because I had it in a clear case with no front flap and from regularly tossing it in my bag and carrying it around all day. I never had that problem with my 2018 paperwhite (no screen protector or case for years) but the newer models with the bigger screens seem more fragile.

I had Unlimited for a while and you had to return them or they were returned automatically some time after reading. If you unsubscribe then whatever you had in your library that's front Unlimited goes back.

I recently purchased the Kindle pillow stand, and I am very frustrated with it to the point of almost wanting to return it. The way my candle fits into the holder it constantly is pressing on the on off button. If I move my Kindle over so that it’s not pressing on the button it makes it lopsided and heavy sided. I don’t know what to do. 🎀

Why did they put the off button on the bottom of the paper white. If you stand it up it turns the machine off. You have to hold it away from a rest and it gets very uncomfortable.
