For me, a step drill (like that baseball guy at the end) is the best way to “feel” the change in momentum at the end of the backswing. I do this drill also with closed eyes on the range, just to pay attention to how the momentun naturally changes when completing the backswing when doing the step. I then try to apply this feel to my normal swing without the step. This works way better for me than a specific focus on hips, belt buckle etc. But of course different people have different ways to learn.

The step drill is brilliant! 👏

Thanks Glen. This is really important. I’ve found that even though I feel like I’m swinging slowly I’m actually not and so long as the sequence is right the ball will fly. My problem is I tend to stop turning my hips when my belt buckle is facing the ball on the downswing. This leads to a chicken wing, slice and inconsistent contact. Practice, practice, practice! Also, I’ve found I get better contact when I keep more weight forward on the golf swing. What do you think of the stack and tilt method? Cheers and keep the videos coming. Steve
@AussieGolfPros4 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, thank you for your comments. Your issue with lack of turn through is a very common problem and does cause many problems with control. The root cause is often not being able to isolate the lower half of the body from upper body when rotating forward. We will cover this in the future. The Aussie Golf Pros are not method coaches but are always studying alternative swing techniques. Like any coaching method, Stack & Tilt will suit some players better than others. Without the shift of pressure from the back to the front foot during the swing, there would seem to be a power leak. It’s hard to imagine a baseball pitcher throwing as fast if starting with the weight forward! Glen

Thanks Glen. Yeah I understand that one style doesn’t suit all. I just found that keeping my weight forward helped my consistency. If you could do the video on isolating the lower and upper body I reckon that would help me a lot. Anyway I really appreciate your videos and your time responding to my comments. My big question is why you guys haven’t hit 10000 subscribers!

230662steve thank you for your support. 😂 We’re sneaking up on that 1000 subs! One day. I’ll let you know as soon as we release our video on isolation. Cheers
