Kings 85L Upright Hinge Swap

Quick video showing how to move the hinges on a Kings 85L upright fridge from the right to the left side.
This took me about 15 minutes and that was figuring out how to do it along the way. The fridge comes with instructions but they're pretty brief on how to do this.

Been looking for a video on how to do just this, thanks mate, ripper video. Also the 2 reasons you gave at the start are exactly why I am going for the 85L also. The 5 year warranty (meaning a cost of $100/yr for the fridge) is pretty hard to beat.

Thx mate exactly why I made this video I couldn't find one on how to do it either. Was in a bit of a rush, literally a day before heading off on a trip. The brackets that came with it held up well also for mounting the fridge. Pretty happy with it so far. Swapping the door was easier than I thought it was going to be.

mate i would not have that drill on low you can strip the screws easy.... good vid thanks for sharing

Definite risk! Fair point pretty used to doing it that way though and haven't stripped one yet (famous last words)....

Hi Jase, just googled the price of the Bushmans 85L and the Kings. Very different, and surprising that the door flexibility option comes with the cheaper one. Thanks for sharing, I think this will help out many people. Cheers. PS. Any room for recovery gear in the back with a fridge that big ? 🤣

Yeah big price difference and a watched a number of reviews that all concluded they probably come from the same factory. I don't know if that's true or not. The clincher was the centre mounted handle (ease of changing the door direction without leaving holes to cover up) and yes the price.... I can confirm the factory provided brackets do a good job (didn't come lose on that recent trip and there was certainly opportunity for it to.... 🙂

lol, yeah the uprights are fairly space efficient actually....
