Today i ventured down to Kings Wood for some Bluebell Woodland Photography. I really was struggling trying to find some compositions that i liked and make a pleasing image from all the chaos of the woodland.

Absolutely agree Lee, go with what catches your eye. Some absolutely beautiful images here. I like the painted feel they have. I'm hoping to get out for some bluebell shots next week if they're still around!

Thanks mate, was happier with the images when i got them home than i was at the time , i guess the bigger screen, a little crop and a bit of post work makes all the difference , its a great woodland for bluebells, hope you able to find some and get to shoot them, thanks again and take care mate

Great stuff Lee, looks like a great place, some of the light later on in the video looked beautiful as the sun started to dip- the shot around 12:30 had some lovely light and shadow contrast. I've been searching around for about a week now in a couple of local woodland spots trying to find a spot that might work for me to get the coveted shot - as you mention, it's not easy to get the composition at times.

Thanks Dave I'm actually happier with the images now than I was at the point of taking them , at the time nothing seemed to look right in the back if the camera , and a little thanks to the Adobe Gods and a couple if images were not to bad . Hope you find something in your area , look forward to seeing your results, hope your well take care.

Great to see you back out mate! I've seen you shoot this woodland a.couple of times now I think and it's absolutely lovely no matter the season. Great idea marking the location on your GPS (surprised you didn't say SatNav). Seems like they would be easy to photograph but I've heard a few people now saying they struggled a little bit. But having said that, you got quite a few really nice images, especially those beauties at 12:35 and 13;35. Really enjoyed it mate! Hope you're doing well, have a great weekend!!

Thanks paul, been a few times to Kings wood, as a woodland it's very difficult to find any great compositions , mainly conifers, the bluebells make it slightly easier but still a challenge . I love my GPS which is a Garmin Montana 650 , I use it as a Sat nav to get me to the trail head and then as a GPS to get me from the trail head to my destination , got the whole uk OS maps installed great bit of kit ! Glad you enjoyed it, thanks again mate take care.

Is it bluebell time already? I'm going to miss out again if I don't get out soon. Looking forward to seeing the sunrise shots as those images in this vlog were great. I also know what you mean about the woodland not providing interesting trees etc, we have a few woodlands locally that are similarly lacking in those 'character' trees that make for interesting images. Great vlog Lee.

Thanks Andrew glad you liked it, hope you get out to find some bluebells soon, they seem to be in full bloom down here in the south east anyway.
