The battle of the Green Fork is a huge blow for Tywin. His strategy relied on his left flank collapsing, luring the northmen into chasing, and then pinning the whole army to the river, but the mercenaries and clansmen over-performed and ruined his plan, allowing the rest of the enemy army to retreat in good order. So while they won the field, their plan failed and they failed to achieve their intended goal. It was a tactical victory, but a strategic defeat.

@@erikthomsen4768 Well his core troops from Casterly Rock, Lannisport and the surrounding areas are probably disciplined enough but he has very disorderly troops under his command as well like Gregor Clegane and his men, Vargo Hoat and his mercenaries, various other mercenary forces, and the Vale Clansmen. So I think his plan might've worked if it he was commanding just Lannister men and the men of the his major vassals like the Crakehalls, Serretts, Braxs, Marbrands, etc.

Rukshar Alam no definitely the best king out of the original 5 and the kings at the end of ADWD. Robb: good commander but makes many political mistakes that cost more soldiers than his actual battle losses, e.g letting Rivermen go home to their own keeps causing chaos and losses, loses the Frey’s for marrying Jenye and the Karstarks by killing their lord. Joffrey: shit head bastard who only succeeds because of Tywin and Tyrion. Makes mistakes such as killing Ned and pissing off everyone. Balon: doesn’t care about Westeros only his islands and whatever he cans steal. Only becomes king so he can take advantage of the war. Renly: he is a man with friends and power, but lacks good qualities such as leadership or battle experience. He has no claim and only wants to be king because he thinks he will be a good one, which he isn’t. His popularity gives him support, Stannis: cares for the realm (as described by Davos by putting the horse before the cart rather than cart before the horse) and the White Walkers. Judges people on their actions rather than status, is fair and honest yet hard and stern. Good commander and his men adore him compared to the lords. Becomes King because it is his duty. By the end of ADWD there is some more claimants: Euron: sadistic, murdering, brutal psychopath. No claim and is insane. Aegon: a brand new King who has been trained to be a good king by the Golden Company, however he, unlike Stannis, only wants the realm because of his claim like Dany. Tommen: too young and really just a tool for people to get power, as shown by Cersei. Cares more for his cats than the realm

Alternate Scenario; - Tywin isn’t stopped by Tully men at crossroads on the Trident, allowed to approach 15,000 strong Tully force near Riverrun. - Riders from Kings Landing pleading for help miss Tywin and arrive to Harrenhal on deaf ears. - Stannis’ assault goes to plan, despite heavy losses as a result of Tyrion’s wildfire plan, the city is taken and sacked for all it is worth. Varys and Tyrion escape through the complex Targaryen era tunnel system, and Sansa leaves with the Hound. - However, Cersei and Joffrey are burnt at the stake by Melisandre, who arrives shortly after the battle is won. - Tywin smashes Edmure’s force, however the encirclement tactic as well as the brotherhood without banners ensures heavy casualties for the Lannister’s. It is at this point Tywin and his depleted ~20,000 bannermen hear of the Battle of Blackwater Bay and hurriedly March on the Capital. - Robb re-enters the Riverlands to join up with the remaining Tully forces and attend Hoster Tully’s funeral, marrying Roslin Frey to secure more levies for his march on Casterly Rock. But not before he retakes Harrenhal and captures the mountain. - Stannis’ forces are replenished by various peasants in the city as well as the remaining gold cloaks, fending off the siege from Tywin Lannister, who is severely maimed in the battle. - Stannis declares war with the Kingdom of the North, now that the Lannister-Tyrell alliance has collapsed, with Dorne declaring for Dany Targaryen/Aegon Targaryen (whoever is there at the moment) and the Vale declaring for the North, while Stannis commands the Storm and Crown lands. - The Westerlands, attended by an ailing Tywin is ruled de facto by Kevin Lannister who bends the knee to Stannis along with Mace Tyrell, however both choose neutrality in the war between the North and South.

Alternative Scenario: - Robb doesn’t become “Da King In Da Norf/Da King of Da Trident”, meaning Robb and co. argue over Renly and Stannis. Robb being the tie breaker, declares for King Stannis. - Catelyn arrives at Dragonstone to pledge fealty to King Stannis. Stannis brings her with him to The Stormlands to negotiate/deal with Renly. - Robb hears of Ser Stafford’s army and moves West to both destroy it and lure Tywin West. Robb wins The Battle of The Oxcross. - Stannis and Catelyn arrive in The Stormlands to negotiate with Renly. Renly turns down his offer, he dies, army defects, Brienne most likely dies. - Tywin moves West in pursuit of Robb as Robb raids The West but Tywin being Tywin commits war crimes again The Riverfolk. Edmure is forced to act. - Roose Bolton takes Harrenhal sends half of his men (5,000) East to assist in the siege of KL. Meanwhile, Ironborn raid The North but without Theon, Winterfell still stands. - Tywin’s gets whooped by Edmure and the messengers arrive. Tywin moves East but Edmure pursues Tywin alongside the other half of Roose Bolton’s host. Robb heard and quickly moves Southeast, down The Gold Road to cut Tywin off. - As Tywin enters The Reach, he faces off against Robb. Robb hits him in the front but then both Edmure and Roose’s men arrive and hit Tywin in his rear, killing him and demolishing half his host. - Stannis assaults KL but suffers a set back. Luckily, The Northerners arrive and besieges KL. With the city garrison pre-occupied and divided, Stannis and his host cross the bridge and are able to take The Mud Gate with some resistance. - Stannis’ attacks The Red Keep. Part of the city is sacked. Cersei, Lancel, and Joffrey are captured, Tyrion and Varys escape to Essos. Sansa is saved. The people hate Stannis and in order to keep the peace, Stannis punishes those who either robbed or raped, either by burning them or guiding them. - Rosby turns Tommen over. Robb arrives with Jaime and Kevan as his prisoners: Jaime, Cersei, Joffrey, Lancel, Kevan, and Tommen are burned by Melisandre. Stannis forms his small council: Davos as Hand, Mel as Master of Whisperers, Salladhor Saan as Master of Ships. He offers Master of Laws to Robb but Robb turns it down. House Lannister of Lannisport gets Casterly Rock unless Stannis wants to give it to House Florent. - Robb and his host besiege Moat Cailin, Arya arrives at the camp and the family reunites. With help from the combined host of Rodrim Cassel, Howland Reed, and Ramsay Bolton, Moat Cailin is retaken. The North’s strong holds are liberated. - The Wall calls for aid and Robb moves North with The Northmen as The Riverlords return home with some hope of financial recovery. - Robb reunites with Jon and the two fens of The Wildlings. Eventually, Robb agrees to make an alliance with Mance to stand against The Others. - Balon dies. Euron takes over and raids The Reach and West. Stannis commands The Royal Fleet alongside Paxter Redwyne and they battle Euron and destroy The Iron Fleet (battle of Trafalgar style). With The Iron Fleet gone, Stannis invaded The Iron Islands alongside Robb. There’s a last second coup de tate and Yara bends the knee and Euron is executed. - Stannis prepares The Realm for The Long Night but then both Dany and Aegon arrive (with Varys around and a not so bitter Tyrion, I think the two are able to form a coalition) and land in Dorne with 10,000 Swords of The Golden Company, 8,000 Unsullied, and the three teenage dragons. Dorne supports the two and moves North into The Stormlands. Whoever wins either ends up wining is unknown.

@@samdoesvids1339 Thanks. Robb’s downfall was his crowning as King but that was Renly’s fault (if Renly sided with Stannis, there wouldn’t be that issue of the two Kings and Robb joins Stannis). I do believe Stannis was the best fit to be King but Aegon and Daenerys show a lot of good potential and would make good if not decent rulers. Stannis dying would be sad but The Realm would be in the hands King Aegon and Queen Dany who could parallel Aegon and Visenya. Also Robb might die but I think he’d survive and remain as Warden of The North and without The Horn of Winter, The Others don’t stand a chance.

@@_Woody_ idk, the Theon sample chapter seems to imply Stannis knows full well who is on his side and not. Spoiler for Winds of Winter sample chapter... I think once they watch the Karstarks burn, they will think twice even if they are planning a betrayal, and it's far more likely the Manderlys turn on the Freys and Ramsay once Stannis springs his trap at the Crofters Village.

We need a Total War game based in game of thrones
@adrianbundy32495 жыл бұрын
Or just release proper mapping tools for any of the recent total wars.... And you know, let the fans make mods for that and even LotR too while they are at it - as a proper game feel? Back when they actually cared to, we got great things like both GoT and LotR campaigns and awesomeness in Med2; but now they never release competent modding tools and don't care about the modding community much anymore.
@Brandonhayhew5 жыл бұрын
Modding communities are still being used and people still uses to playing it. Warhammer's got zombies and dragons that contents is good enough to establish a Game of Thrones total war and an expansion of Essos or Valyrian Freehold Campaign, even a DLC like the Nine Free cities.
@adrianbundy32495 жыл бұрын
@@Brandonhayhew Being used, but don't try and compare it and say it is what it was. No, before, you could add new campaigns, add maps, add cities, and do far fucking more than you can right now. 'Modding communities are still being used' is rather like saying you still have an RC car, where before you can go down the street in your motorcycle. Unless we get some of the things they won't release in their mod tools for the newer games, we could never do a Third Age Total War or a GoT mod campaign. We just couldn't.

@@grandadmiralzaarin4962 yeah I watched it. If you're a stannis fan they are going by TV show not books . I'm robb fan and I get cringed every time people talk about stannis. I don't even really care for book stannis but sometimes I wanna smash my phone 😩
@grandadmiralzaarin49624 жыл бұрын
@@caf3in323 I don't particularly have anything against Robb myself. I can see why people like him, he's trying to do what he thinks is right and he's a brilliant tactician in addition to being fairly caring and charismatic, so you won't get cringed by me for backing him(now if you were a Balon or Ramsay guy THEN we'd have issues). Plus he doesn't know that Stannis is actually the true claimant since Ned never got to spill the beans on that and in the show he only has Stannis word on it, which from Robb's view looks like a justification for seizing the Throne. So I don't even fault his choice of trying to secede as to him, it's about justice and protecting the North from Southern exploitation. The main issues I have with Robb are that while he's arguably the best tactician in Westeros, he's probably the worst strategist(Though Balon Greyjoy is pretty horrible in that regard too) and that Robb has a tendency to blame subordinates for his own mistakes rather than owning up to them. Blaming Edmure for showing initiative at the Mummers Ford doesn't make sense because the plan was not explained to Edmure, so he seized a tactical opportunity at strategic expense. That's not really his fault, it's Robb's for not communicating his intent to Edmure. Then regarding the Karstarks and his mother, both had expressed clearly their intent before their actions, keeping them away from camp should have been his first order of business, but instead he left them right next to their problem issues, then blamed them for acting on those impulses. Again, his main faults are that he's green and doesn't think things through to their conclusion. If Robb had lived and gotten more experience he could have developed into a fine Lord and commander for the long term possibly. I am a Stannis supporter largely because of his record and I think he'd be the best man for the job burning out that scheming nest of vipers that is the political slime of Kings Landing. He's unlikeable, I'd never want to hang out for a weekend with Stannis lol but for a leader he's somebody I respect a lot.

1st theres no war, no channels competing like companies do. Because social media bussiness model is so different then the old corporate models. Most viewers watch all the stuff. They do not sign to just one or pick one or prefer one but all. 2nd it is about the advertisement of the channels to follow the wave, most social media creators do this to reach more viewers.
