Did you not see him mount the best comeback in nfl history last year and lead the league in both game winning drives and 4th quarter comebacks? Tell me with a straight face that he wouldn't win on the Eagles or 9ers. Honestly. Go ahead. Hurts literally did nothing for the vast majority of the game besides hand it off to Swift and then get pushed into the endzone. I know a lot of people don’t like the rule that if a player fumbles before the goal line and the ball goes through the end zone it’s a touchback, with the ball to the other side at the 20. I can think of one possible unintended consequence perhaps of a rule change, giving the ball to the offense at the point of fumble instead. Let’s say a receiver catches the ball and is getting tackled at the three, and there’s say five seconds left with no time outs. The receiver then could purposefully toss the ball through the end zone, stopping the clock, and giving his team one more play at the fumble spot. That would be very unfair for the defense. But it reminds me of that “Kenny Stabler Rule” where he purposefully fumbled the ball forward, it rolled and got kicked into the end zone, and a Raider grabbed it for a TD. I think the NFL made a rule change because of it, not being able to advance a fumble on certain downs.

The only good safety and #2CB were inactive, the slot was injured during the game, and the #2 slot is already done for the season. Jefferson on pretty much anyone is a mismatch, when they get him on the backup backup slot there's only ever 1 winner. As always, the analysis is superb.

You often mention the read a QB makes against a specific coverage. Does that mean for NFL qbs that they really have to each play almost 10 different ways because the way it will be executed depends on how the coverage changes the specific reads the QB makes. People don't appreciate Justin Jefferson's route running because it is not technically sound. Like if you were to use a video of a WR to describe how to run routes, you would probably take Davante Adams or Stephon Diggs. BUt man, JJ is so fluid with his movements, it doesn't even matter. Even when he rounds off his cuts, it is irrelevant because he doesn't lose any burst on it. And all hsi routes look the same.

JT, been chewing over the intro and realized what felt off. Wanted to give a breakdown worthy of what you give us. It's not really an "intro". Your intro is the opening few sentences you say punctuated with the hand clap. The graphic feels more like a watermark. It's followed by thanking patrons, which provides the break between intro and analysis that the watermark would provide otherwise. It's also a way to show priority to the patrons. I would suggest moving it to the end of the video. It would provide a good stamp to the end of the video that can provide the platform to show any suggested or recent vids at the end. It would also provide a smoother send off than "see ya" cut to end of vid.

JT, is there any QB in the league worse at “buying time” or moving in the pocket to clear and throw than Kirk Cousins? I realize his offensive line is not good BUT I also don’t think he does them any favors. Re-visit the 3rd and goal near the end of the 1st half against the Chargers…to my amateur eye, that’s a touchdown 100% of the time with a step toward his target…maybe a good discussion in general (Herbert is good at this also)…thnx!
@Oklahoma-Dreaming Жыл бұрын
I’ve been a bit mixed on Cousins. He’s an excellent passer but he’s not that mobile and modern-day rules reward QBs with a mobile QB. As an example, if a QB is even touched seemingly when scrambling or running it’s often a 15-yard penalty. And a QB that can run puts more pressure on a defense too. But I think the Jets GM should consider calling up the Vikings GM to see if the Vikings might trade Cousins. Zach Wilson hasn’t worked out the way I thought he would and with Rodgers’ injury the Jets might be getting desperate.

Love these breakdowns and I'm looking forward to more TUA breakdowns. KK was absolutely fire this week so I couldn't resist watching this.

It's going to be a long year for my vikes. Zero running game and our defense is suspect yet again

Intro graphic looks perfect now that you shortened it up a tick after that first glimmer. Now let's see how many weeks until mac jones earns himself an analysis lol

You gotta do Trevor Lawrence vs. The Chiefs. 4 RedZone trips and only 3 points? Where did it go wrong?

Cousins looked good to you JT, only because the Eagles didn’t have Bradberry and lost slot Maddox during the game. But, if Cousins had more clock time, the Vikings would’ve won this game.

KJ is scared of being hit. This many drops right before contact is embarrassing.

It’s funny because Kirk protect his receivers he don’t throw hospitals balls

Do Brock Purdy week #2. Did he come down to earth a bit?

Love the videos, always excited to check them out and learn more about the game. However, that intro is killing me. It's the antithesis of this channel. The channel has the vibe of JT is inviting you into his study to watch film and learn. Before that though, here's some dubstep. Maybe I'll get over it with time. Anyway, again love the content.

Not sure you can have rested much since July, but any chance T.Lawrence ? .......before you collapse with exhaustion and have to go on dark-room retreat to recover !

#19 was holding Kirk back all those years, no coincidence he's off to the best start of his career without him!
