I didn't even know Amazon had half off or I would've bought it. But I do get the 3lp set on blue vinyl the booklet is really cool. I agree the mix isn't bad but the reissue sounds better. Wished I had a og copy to compare it too.

Awesome review! The Creatures album cover was always my favorite by Kiss! What this box set is missing is a good live DVD or BluRay but I know the only pro shot footage they had was of Rio 83 and even that is not that great quality! As far as the sound of the record I agree with you that the 2014 180gram vinyl release was better and also the 1997 remaster CD sounds great also! Cool video Ralph! Have a great holiday!

I’m still hooked on Deadly Weapon. Great crunchy riff and Paul sounds great. And yes, Creatures is still my favorite album. They were able to tap into Vinnie’s brilliance, Eric’s power along with the help of a few other musicians to create a metal masterpiece. Saint and Sinner is perfection. The song Creatures of the Night is the closest Paul got to creating an Unholy style of song and a perfect intro to the album. Awesome solo by Steve Farris.

Hey Ralph, the 2014 issue of the LP you showed actually has the 1985 mix (non makeup cover). For some reason they didn't use the original mix, the 97 reissue CD uses the 1982 mix so you probably should've compared that one. I think the 1985 mixes are on the extra tracks cd, so they're in the box

That count in is on the Deadly Weapon demo (not the Penny Lane one) and before the solo Paul says "Take it Ace." Was great to hear Ace, but I think that was a pre-Elder demo. Something Seems To Happen At Night, It's Gonna Be Alright, Legends Never Die, It's My Life and a different version of Feel Like Heaven are on the Vault Also It's Sioux City is one of the funniest things I've seen you do. You got lucky with shipment or because Bezos has his own shipping division. I worked for FedEx and UPS. I love Vinnie's talent, I hate his personality (Yes, he was an Asshole about many things nonetheless, the box set) which destroyed his potential. He needed serious counseling. Love the drawing of Eric Carr. His drum sound hasn't been matched since. The COTN folder is a badass poster. You need to upload the out-takes, 82-83 tour, and soundboard stuff - blu-ray audio. "Gene too horrible. It must be on the vault." LOL classic burn. That scumbag can play, I agree. That is weird KISS doesn't play the second verse of I Love It Loud.(I've noticed that since Alive III) It's My Life (Demo) is pretty awesome. Also, I don't care if you skip a couple Wednesday's or Sundays. Two fisted till the very end, no more, treated like aliens, we're not gonna take it. Thanks, Dr. Fukk.

Its great to hear Ace on some of this material even if it's the Elder songs they scrapped. Its probably the only demos I like on this . Also I'm not a fan of the remastered Creatures cd. The 97 remasters has more punch to it and sounds bettter in my opinion

Creatures Of The Night should have had Vincent on the cover, But I do understand why they didn't want Vincent on it. They have never given Vincent the credit that he deserved..I know he's a weird guy but he saved Kiss with Creatures, Lick It Up & Revenge..The best songs after Ace left was written by Vincent, Like War Machine, I Love It Loud, Young & Wasted, Not For The Innocent and Unholy...

I love that we got an official release of Detroit Rock City live with Eric on drums. It was one of the more notable songs he changed the drum arrangements on. He changed the drums on the song to work with the double kick, which makes the drums on it sound more complete in my opinion.

Creatures OTN was one of my favorite albums by KISS. But KISS World Shop Online ruined the band for me. I don't care to hear anything or see anything from them anymore. The incompetent organization cannot seem to correct their operations as of December 2, 2022. I cannot communicate with anything other than a generic Zendesk software associate. "Please wait. "Wait one more week." Wait till such and such date." "Wait just two more days." I wonder if KISS the band knows what they do? I am at the point that I do not want anything to do with KISS themselves.
