I saw a video of an elderly woman trying to get gift cards at a Walmart customer service desk. She sounded so terrified because the scammers told her if she didn’t give them the $1000 in gift cards, she would lose her social security. Walmart staff knew she was being scammed and tried to tell her that, but when she said “I don’t understand” in her shaky and frightened voice, it shattered my heart.
