My daughter and granddaughter both have one of these electronic picture frames. They are so cute to see all the great pics while you are in the kitchen. That’s just where theirs sit. I think they change every ten seconds. What I like if I’m watching it do it’s thing I can swipe it backwards and repeat the one that just passed if I want to take another look. You probably have that capability as well. Or I can go forwards if I want to see 10 or so more in a row. It is full of my one year old great grandson who is a total blessing to our family. Love it. Sadly, I can barely do mine as a kitchen. It's more like a mudroom. It's like a tiny galley and has a door to the outside where we always come through to get in the house. Barely room for one person. My husband doesn’t understand or care that's almost impossible to work in. Won't move or enlarge it. I think it's time for me to move on. It's all about him. I love that picture frame and knowing your family can send new pictures to surprise you is fabulous….I have hinted to my kids we’d like one for 2 years now and I guess I will just have to buy one myself…but I think my disabled husband would enjoy watching pictures go by..,he’s not tech savvy at all so can’t really peruse the photos on the iPad or laptop unless I’m sitting with him. Oh I bought that knee brace you showed us for my husband, he says it helps..so thank you…it will help him get by until he can get another shot in his knee …only can get 2-3 times a year…so the brace is a great help.

My mom used to make Raggedy Ann and Andy and I would help her with the patterns. She made the 18 inch and the 36 inch dolls. She would use the brightest red yarn for their hair. My husband got one of those photo frames for Father’s Day. You can hide pictures if anyone loads up the frame with pictures. Yes, that will probably happen. My husband passed away on December 20. Nanny,your stretches remind me so much of my mom stretching with Jack Lalanne on the tv when I was a child. She always had a chair for support and would set me up with a small chair so I could do the stretches too. I had not thought of those times in ages , thank you for the memory.

Bend Ze Knees! You make me think of a ski coach saying this. Haha. With your kitchen workout. I do that too, only I will do old movements from my years in ballet, where you would work out at the Barre, etc. Also have been guilty of dancing around the house in my PJs after cranking up the stereo. Not sure what the neighbors think. Give them something to talk about I guess. Fun to watch you going through your stocking by the tree. Like a kid on Christmas morning. I remember hanging my stocking and then getting oranges, apples, nuts, chocolate, and a small gift of some kind. A good memory. I actually have a stocking hanging up by the fireplace, but Santa forgot to fill it this year. Maybe for New Years Eve? What fun to watch you enjoy drawing out your Santa stocking gifts! I can't wait to see you try the Glow drops. The smile on your face as you sprayed on your Estee' and held it brought me happiness. A very nice vest. We know you how like your vests! I too like to sit and savor the beauty of my Christmas decor. You remind me of myself. My mom would wait to take the tree down until I had done my post-Christmas basking. Strange little kid that I was...I would keep all my presents under the tree in their boxes and take each out everyday to play with. Then put them back and do it again the next day. We always had a real tree of course, but it was not put up until 3 days before Christmas My mom preferred Balsam. Such a lovely fragrance! You must remember of course how Christmas was closer to Christmas then. No items appearing in stores in July for goodness sakes. Most people spent the week or two before Christmas downtown out and about shopping. Aww. Downtown had the lights wrapped around streetlights and barber poles. Quintessential really. And of course here in VT there were feet of snow. People would recognize each other and say Merry Christmas. Men would shake hands and women would mention how big their children had gotten etc. Oh my gosh, my stocking was the best! Miniature wooden toys and unique things. I still have a small wooden Noah's Arc that when you take off the top has all the animals 2X2. My mom was the best. I wish I had appreciated her more and had been more aware of how hard she worked and all she did for each of us. Thank you for the reminder that I need to move more and that it doesn't have to be hard. Happy New Year Moosie and Nanny! And Moosie, let the kids send you things on your new picture frame even if you need to remove some of the pictures you already have...I promise you will be delighted and it will bring you new joy each day.

Hey Nanny - Happy New Year’s Eve! God has certainly been good to us this year…he gave us another year with you, along with many other blessings. Here’s to many more, dear Nanny! I love that you were doing exercises in the kitchen…I do the same thing in front of the sink, while I am “cooking “, and I use that term loosely 😂 I have a gym on the first floor, but I have become afraid of the stairs. I’m going to have to knock that off, and work on that in the new year. I used to go down two flights of stairs and back up one, first thing in the morning, before coffee, for years…but my right leg isn’t cooperating, and that makes me uneasy. Well, here’s to overcoming, right? Right! It was fun going through your stocking and presents. I love that you sewed your original stocking onto the front of your big one! I still can’t get over those stockings - try to keep making them…they are priceless! Well Nanny, we’re closing up another year with you and Moosie, a year with laughter, some tears, great advice, fashion shows, gardening tips, crafts, make up, cooking demos, that nasty P word, a lot of family and a lot of faith. I exercise every morning for at least 30 minutes. Free videos on KZbin, anything you can think of! I usually set the KZbin exercise on one device and something I want to watch while working out on a 2nd device. It helps make the time go faster when you’re being entertained while working out. Nanny, the soup and bread looks so warm and delicious. I have never made a chicken soup like that but I definitely will do so. I love homemade soups and also getting multiple meals out of one cooking session.. I hope you know that while you do your exercises, there are many in this community that you are inspiring others to move as well. Happy New Year Nanny….i would make a quiche with those eggs with cottage cheese, spinach, mushrooms, sweet peppers and you can add bacon or sausage if you wish. Or….egg salad sandwiches! Love your exercising in the kitchen…I do that too……when I remember! My Xmas stocking was filled with goodies too. Such cute jammies. I have about 35 chickens so we have plenty of eggs. I sell a few, donate some to the homeless shelter and to my church pantry. I'm really concentrating on my health, I'm 64 and totally know I have to keep this body moving as much as possible if I want to Rock my 80's. They say walking backwards occasionally is great for your brain as well.
