The snow finally quit falling and the sun came up while the residents of KMP Construction Village pulled together to get each others vehicles out of the snow.

I remember this…we flew out of Kitimat on Sunday February 1st as the storm was rolling in (just about got grounded) for our turnaround. And if my memory serves me I believe our 7 days off turned into 21 or more? Glad I didn’t get stuck in camp but was able to spend the time at home.

I use to live near Terrace (north of Kitimat) 'till the mid 60s. One year in the late 50s it was not uncommon to get 3 feet of snow over night. We drove in a valley, it was piled 8 feet high on both sides of the road. Many times we were snowed in.

5 ft in 3 days... that's a good storm. it was a few years ago now that we got that pace but it lasted 9 days un upstate NY. I believe the totals were somewhere around 13ft in 9-10 days in the middle of the lake effect bands. Got to love the stuff. You either love it or it kills you :P Great Videos!

Ill never forget being in kitimat ffor the storm. Me and my fellow workers had a blast on the friday during the storm watching everyone try to leave to get beer while drinking beer in my truck. I ended up melting my truck into the snow pretty good after leaving it running for 7 hours.

I live in Florida and never see snow so this was fun to watch. Great video that shows what people have to go through up north. God bless them. Hope everyone found their vehicles. There's an app for that right?

You should have seen in town. This was the year that the District was on strike and they weren't doing their usual snow removal. We had to depend on contracting out to various companies to plow

Oh my goodness, the poor people! And I complain about a little bit of snow, but I can't get used to it, because I grew up in Namibia. Now I stop complaining after I have seen this.

New York State where I live gets some world record snow some years and while Buffalo and Tug Hill regions have exceeded this, I have personally only seen 4 or 5 snowfalls like this and this looks a bit worse than the worst of those. Our snow is heavy and wetter because the east is moister. Still, this looks SERIOUS.
