Amazing achievement in 30 days. You should be proud of yourself. Normally we wouldn't call sparing a fight.

EPIC! Simply getting in the ring is the greatest challenge of all. To see the complete opposite end of the Martial Arts spectrum, you may want to try a 30 day challenge with Aikido. It isn't the most "practical" style in the world, but it still has many benefits and several highly effective techniques. Keep training. Cheers!

Really impressive! I commend you so much for the way you apply yourself in all your challenges and of course this one. Watching you spar and utilise what you had learnt was so cool to see. Keep going with everything you do, you definitely gave me food for thought. I do MMA, so hearing the coach compliment you on how fast you learn and your attention to learning should always be a priority for any sport and field of study for that matter. So well done! Awesome job on the video as well

Her proprioceptive awareness is very high. I have a friend just like this. He can analyze very quickly how someone is using their body in a specific sport, break down the movements in his mind, and utilize it effectively enough to do the sport really well on the first day. He did this with golf, bowling, disc golf, football, snowboarding, and downhill skiing.

This tells me it's possible to learn Muay Thai in a month PROVIDED you're already an athlete and have the work ethic of a competitive athlete. For some of us, it is still training technique, strength and conditioning, and setting a good, active routine for months, and sometimes years before we can hold our own in an in-gym sparring session. That said, I think training in combat sports has definitely helped me build mental toughness and making me realize that I can push past what I think is my limit.
@omegasquad868 Жыл бұрын
im sure she didnt do this all in one month just 30 days of training so im thinking maybe 3 days a week so a few months of training
@rohitchaoji Жыл бұрын
@@omegasquad868 I think her being an athlete in a related sport still makes it possible to learn it in that duration. It's like a wrestler going to a jiu jitsu class for 30 days. The results will be very different from someone who just got off the couch and decided to do jiu jitsu for 30 days.

The coaches speech at the end resonated deeply with me. I've had to lean on my ability to learn when getting back into sprinting. From form and technique, to warm-ups, drills, and stretching, it's a much different beast than my knowledge base of lower body gym workouts. But I've never felt better, so I know the patience with myself and consistency is paying off. Much respect to you for being a lifelong learner and challenging yourself in ways that aren't initially comfortable. It inspires many and sets a wonderful example for many generations to observe and absorb. All the best.

When Elton talks about mass and acceleration, he's referring to a physics concept in martial arts! When it comes to the force of impact of your punch for example, you could apply "Linear Kinetic energy". Kinetic energy (K) is equal to one-half the product of its mass, m, and the square of its velocity, v, or K=1/2mv2. This is what Kize is doing in (1:00). Note: Her base/legs aren't rotating. Just her wrist. Here's a secret for ya'll: If you add rotation to your Strike (With your whole body from your feet to your fist) the kinetic energy will increase by 20%. "Rotational kinetic energy" is where huge physical power is at. Kize applies this in (1:51) because she rotates from her base into her kick. The power is so visible that even her cameraman reacts xD. Kize, you are a role model for thousands, and for millions who haven't discovered you yet. Keep that guard up and all of the Great work you're doing 🔥

@ Johnny BG. True, Kinetic energy is the key, but a capable trainer would have a solution for power. If Ms Kize Bas had better form, she would have bio-mechanic advantage to compliment her executions.

I've been checking out different MT gyms in Thailand to live somewhere I don't really have a choice to not train. What is your personal opinion of karate compared to MT? Many of the karate schools iv seen seems more of a dance routine and wouldn't work in any actual fights which is giving students zero combat knowledge.
@EliteHero30111 ай бұрын
Thats a fair opinion. Most dojos especially in NA fail to teach students what they are actually learning. The karate that should be taught in my opinion should have a focus on "bunkai" which is the application of the techniques and should be practiced. This is where you see alot of correlations between karate techniques and other martials arts, MT included. It would also help to show how point sparring can be applied in coherence with full contact fighting. This is where Muay Thai comes in, it gives you the experience of standing infront of an opponent and getting hit, while using most of the weapons (8 limbs) available. @@Stuart-bh9nh
@EliteHero30111 ай бұрын
In my experience, alot of karate complements my Muay thai (kicks esp, sweeps, the hip movement for alot of techniques). However, if a dojo doesnt encourage any sparring of any kind, this is where most of the complaints of karate comes from, because the techniques taught dont get practiced enough in a 1v1 situation

Another awesome video! I wish this one had been a bit longer, it would have been awesome to breakdown a few of the techniques you were actually using and then comparing that to how those techniques actually faired in the ring for you. Also, I'm very surprised to see you learn muay thai and jiu jitsu which are proven effective real life fighting tetchniques, but the one you chose to continue with was the traditional martial art. I'd love to hear your thoughts on why you made this decision! Could you do a little breakdown video on the different skills youve learned and comparing them?
