In Saudi Arabia, incoming domestic electricity is 3phase 110VAC and a neutral. Bulbs, fans, light loads works on 110VAC (single phase & nuetral). Heavy loads like a/c, fridge, geaser power points etc are working on 220VAC( double Phase/110+110=220VAC). As an electrical person, I could work with power supply without switching off the main power. I prefer this power system over our Indian system due to safety. However, using transformer will waste extra power loss in the transformer, causing extra bill.

I respect your thoughts, but you should consider safety first in any electrical circuit, say for example if one of your output grounded by any reason then you are in trouble, also you can't identify if the circuit is in safe condition because the isolation transformer not grounded, so the protection circuit can't identify the leakages of current and imagine if this condition exist, at the same time if you got contact unexpectedly with the circuit then you will be electrocuted for sure and your primary protection will not protect you soon enough. If you look in the way of economic wise then your isolation transformer connected even without load, it will draw the no load current by its rating, so your energy meter read the values, and you may pay for nothing. Thank you & I believe still there are solutions, innovations, inventions, implementations to overrule.

എന്റിക്കാ, ഈ ട്രാൻസ്ഫോർമർ isolatin Transformer വിഭാഗത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നതാണ്. പിന്നെ ഇക്കാ പറഞ്ഞതിൽ ഒരു പിശകും കടന്നു കൂടിയതു ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിയ്ക്കുന്നു. Distribution Transformer ന്റെ primary 11kv ലൈനു വരെ neutral line ഇല്ല( Tower line കൾക്ക് 3 phase line കൾ മാത്രവും. ഏറ്റവും മുകളിൽ Earth line ഉം). Place of Generation മുതൽ Distribution Transformer വരെ Delta-Delta യും Distribution Transformer ന്റെ primaryDeltaയും secondary Star ലുംവരും. ഇവിടെ അർട്ടിഷ്യലായി ന്യൂട്രൽ സർഷ്ടിക്കപ്പടുകയാണ് . കാരണം single phase connection ഉം Threephase connection ഉം നൽകാൻ 3 phase line +neutral ആകെ 4ലൈനുകൾ ആവശ്യവുമാണല്ലൊ. ഇതിനെല്ലാമുപരി ഈ Isolation Transformer ലുണ്ടാകുന്ന ഊർജ്ജം നഷ്ടം ഒരു load ഇല്ലാത്തപ്പോഴും ഉണ്ടല്ലൊ.അത് തള്ളിക്കളയാവുന്നതുമല്ലല്ലൊ.
