Fun fact: this movie is ENTIRELY 2D HAND DRAWN ANIMATION (NO 3D CGI)!!! The producers of the film want to see how 2D hand drawn animation could've grown if 3D didn't take the animation industry as big as it did.

in defense of the "liar revealed" trope in this movie: they wanted to trick the clan leaders, so it would be in their best interest to pretend to go along with the "betrayal" and have the leaders think they have the upper hand... but even so, it IS very poorly explained/justified, especially to casual viewers
