Going to be honest here.. as a kid I grew up in Colorado and my dad loved camping deep in the Colorado rockies, and dad loved panning for gold. I got used to the ice cold water and would go under using reeds for air and tweezers to just pick the gold flakes out of the water. It wasn't hard to get a gram in a couple hours or less

The creek that i had on my property had clay , i used an old petrol driven cement mixer with a wire basket i made up, it worked exelent after floods i would retreave it from farther down the creek clean out the engine and start again, oh happy days never bothered with flour gold just left it in the mixer.

I spent 3 summers in Cache Creek. Dredge stopped up top...when WW2 started. The cobble line is faint decades later, but you can get untouched rocks. Larger pieces 3-10 grams, but still plenty of flour gold/wire. We dredged the river, never got more than 8 grams per hour. The $$ is digging gems in Colorado. Gold is hobby only.

LOL Prospecting Cache Creek... we have a casino out here called Cache Creek... the image in my head right now of you prospecting inside the casino is hilarious! You should see if you can get a polarized lens cover for your camera, it'd really help knock down a lot of the glare in the bright sun and make everything look way more colorful.. just remember to take it off when it's low light or you won't see anything.

@Klesh5 жыл бұрын
If you watch my metal detecting videos in Scotland last year, my Garrett AT Pro fails me and I ended up having a partially wasted trip. I've even been through 4 Garrett pinpointers. Garrett machines work great...but only when they work. I must say that Garrett customer service and repair shop are very kind and helpful, they always take my returns and repair stuff, even if it's out of warranty, but...That isn't good enough for me, so I switched to Minelab.
