love mine with orange highlights plus matching helmet looks great , only one thing what I miss is some waist belt, looks kind of baggy since have massive chest I had to go almost 2 sizes up .... anybody who hesitate just buy it you will not regret the purchase, cheers V!

The Carlsbad Jacket, while heavy, is fantastic for temperatures from 35F (2C) to 95F (35C). It will keep you dry in heavy rain. I find the Carlsbad pants less useful and wear the Klim Switchback pants instead. If it rains I put on a pair of Cabela’s Guidewear GoreTex pants to stay dry. The Switchback pants are simply just far more comfortable and have better airflow than the Carlsbad pants. The Carlsbad jacket is by far the highest quality and best safety gear purchase that I have made. The only time I don’t wear it is in extreme heat.

FWIW...I wear 36" jeans and the 36" Carlsbad pants fit me perfectly.

Very boxy, would have been helpful if you got Dan to wear a size Medium for comparison. They need to add waist adjustment straps. And why not make the right chest pocket bigger @Klim? On my current jacket my gps goes in the right chest pocket and my phone in the left.

What is a right competitor to BMW rally suit? Baja S4 suit or Carlsbad?

rally suit is not laminated and it has a in house removable waterproof membrane. Klim carlsbad is a laminated gere-tex jacket. completely different jackets. Baja is a summer jacket but without a membrane.

I have both the jacket and the pants. Jacket is awesome. Pants not so much. They have, good ventilation, solid waterproofing. Top of the line knee armor pocket is sewn in wrong; as a result the armor protects the inside of your knee. When you look at the construction of the garment it’s pretty obvious that the placement is an error. Klim support basically told me that they did this intentionally so they would not correct the issue. If you intend to use separate knee armor these pants will be fine but if you want to use the D30 that comes with the pants you should look somewhere else. The armor placement makes it useless. For a company with a reputation as good as klim's the customer service is horrible.

I’m a 34 jeans size and the pants were much too tight, order a size up unless you plan on wearing nothing underneath.

Nobody ... ABSOLUTELY NOBODY talks about adding suspenders .. KLIM makes 2 versions of suspenders clip on and Velcro loop ... how and where to attach... KLIM states their suspenders are compatible with their pants but gives ZERO advice or instructions... i own the CARLSBAD jacket and pants... As helpful as these type of videos are they are just regurgitated manufacturer available information.. neither of their suspenders works on the CARLSBAD pants as far as i can tell....

Hi mate, I use the suspenders and have no issues. Pretty straightforward to put them on.

@@migo33 THANK YOU... I called KLIM the hanger loop on the inside of the pants was designed to attach the Velcro suspenders.. In my head it didn't seem that was a correct attachment point but they assured me it was designed and tested for that use... Go figure.. My gripe is/was that nobody mentions this fact anywhere including the manufacturer.. Seems like an important (ish) piece of information, at least to me.. I should have called KLIM from the get go.. ;)
