Best review I have seen - very detailed - one thing to add is that the sleeve Vents have a two-way zip on production jackets so you can zip down the air vent from the top and leave the cuff closed. I bought the jacket 😀

How is the fit of this jacket? Does it fit large or small for the closest size? I have a 41 inch chest and typically wear a large t-shirt. It looks like it fits large.

i think this would be perfect gear for doing it all(mean go anywhere, when u layer well under). AA, L2 protection, abrasion resistant and it doesn't cost as badlands. Am I right?

Will the FOREARM vent zips have dual zipper sliders on final production version so you can vent from the top of the forearm down? The one you had only allowed venting when opening from the wrist upward.

Thank you for the great video! Unfortunately I just ordered the Carlsbad for $3xx lol.. Do you feel that the fit of the jacket is similar to last year's model? Sleeve and overall jacket length? I am a tall dude at 6.5 220. A XL seemed to fit me the best. Better than the Tourmaster Transition 5. Was wondering if it is any longer.

Yes, the fit will be the same as they are built off the same pattern sizes. The materials and vents is what is very different this year over previous. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

How does this compare to the badlands pro? My jacket seems crunchy, heavy and a bit tight which hampers mobility.

Great inquiry Captndarty. The Carlsbad is significantly lighter in weight than the Badlands suits and I feel it is a bit boxier in fit than the Badlands. The cruncyness of the jacket is a byproduct of the triple laminate GoreTex Pro shell and the external fabric choice. Example... My Klim Apex jacket is Gore Pro... but the outer material it is laminated to is much softer and WAY LESS crunchy than the Badlands or this Carlsbad. When wearing this Carlsbad out in our local area, I did not feel my mobility was compromised in any way. What year is your Badlands? They have changed a lot over the years. 34 Pant and a Large Jacket fit me perfect (on Friday... Monday's its a little snug at the waist - but 36 is tooo big!)

I have both the jacket and the pants. Jacket is awesome. Pants not so much. They have, good ventilation, solid waterproofing. Top of the line knee armor pocket is sewn in wrong; as a result the armor protects the inside of your knee. When you look at the construction of the garment it’s pretty obvious that the placement is an error. Klim support basically told me that they did this intentionally so they would not correct the issue. If you intend to use separate knee armor these pants will be fine but if you want to use the D30 that comes with the pants you should look somewhere else. The armor placement makes it useless. For a company with a reputation as good as klim's the customer service is horrible.

Too light in colour for a serious motorcycle jacket & pants ,that’s going to get full of crap ,oil & road dirt . Looks more suitable for a fancy poncy fashion catwalk parade .
