I had severe knee arthritis & was on the path to replacement. I started a carnivore diet four months ago & the excruciating pain vanished within a week. I'm still pain free.

Cut out all seed/vegetable oils which are highly inflammatory. Use lard, olive, coconut oils or tallow.

@@versewriter8123 These are the reasons that you feel better; not Carnivore-Diet. Inflammatory Foods (Sugar, Gluten, Fake-Oils, too much Carbohydrates).

Merry Christmas Andrew!! Thanks again for your work. In this video you talk about cartilage that is damaged because of too much tension. My damage is caused by a destroyed meniscus. Do you think that there is a chance for me to rebuild my cartilage? Even if the reason for my damage will always be there? (the torn meniscus)
@shapefixer
@shapefixer 20 күн бұрын
Hey Michael, merry christmas to you too! My answer is yes, because a torn meniscus can heal with rest and nutrition, but the extent of the healing will depend as much on your food and inflammation levels, as your genetics, age, and how bad the tear is. (and a torn meniscus can be surgically repaired if needed - depending on which part of the meniscus is damaged)

Thanks Andrew. My knee oa is not caused by muscle impalance. It is caused by bow legs (genu varum) can this be corrected without surgery!

If you are able to strengthen the supporting muscles, and eat food that limits inflammation and provides the right nutrients, and you certainly make a difference. As to wjhether or not you can "heal" completely, I cannot tell you. It depends on so many things - like your age, the overall health of your metabolism, and meds (side effects), and how bad the leg alignment actually is.

Would you be able to provide any advice to help with arthritis of the hand, in particular the DIP joint. Thank you. David Harrison
@shapefixer
@shapefixer 21 күн бұрын
Hi David, yes I will do so, I will make a video explaining the exercise that is the most useful. Of course it also depends on the proble, ie the type of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is the one stemming from mechanical damage, like in this knee video, and is addressed with compensatory exercises. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks and destroys the cartilage - this is not exercise linked ("psoriatic" arthritis is similar to RA in that it is autoimmune related, but is specifically linked to Psoriasis - itself an autoimmune disease). So I will make a video on osteoarthritis in the hands and finger joints, and exercises to help improve it; but if you think your arthritis is linked to an autoimmune issue (rheumatism) then please watch my video on Autoimmune science and Diet: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2eVnpiXr750gaM

1) Im 40 pounds overweight 2) Twinkie diet 3) Dr recommended squats 4) I have a flabby butt.
@shapefixer
@shapefixer 21 күн бұрын
I'm guessing the point of your comment is that you have knee arthritis and were told to do squats? Squats can actually help but only after you are sure your glutes and hamstrings are properly activated (hence the simple exercises in this video). However, the form you have doing the squats is crucial, as you need to use your butt muscles and not your quads. You need to poke your butt out on the way down (without arching your back), and straighten up again on the way up. Practice with a lighter (safer) weight until you feel the glutes working, then you have figured out the technique. But none of this will help you on a twinkie diet!

@shapefixer When in my 40's I had terrible sciatica. Sent to a specialist who said he didn't know how I was walking and said I needed immediate back surgery. I told him everyone I knew who had back surgery traded one pain for another. I told him to sent me to therapy. There I got a 200 pound woman to massage my leg for 6 sessions. At the end, she said she wasn't supposed to give medical advice, but she suggested I lose 20 pounds. I lost 40 by juicing and walking 2 hrs daily, one in the morning and 2nd at night. All my pains went away and I felt better than in my 20's. I had 2 refrigerators for cycling thru my fruits and veggies. I kept in that shape about 5 years and I don't know how I lost my mojo and gained it all back. I popped my knee after moving/lifting my wife who has Parkinson's. I don't want to "blame" but I'm going to have to try extra hard to maintain 2 diets, one for her and one for me. The knee has been giving me trouble for almost 3 years. It scares me to go down further because I need to improve in order to hopefully outlive my wife. I've been dipping down periodically 5 pounds from the 220... which is a start.
