Hi Tobias: It’s a very nice package and a big ol’ honkin’ stockman. 😊 It appears to be the same frame as the RR 1799, which is also a reverse stockman. That’s a favorite of mine. I’m not sure why some people seem to be threatened by the D word. 🤔 It’s a knife box…… and a correct statement. Thanks, Tobias.

Tobias, it's funny you posted this as I just picked up another brand of large stockman and it was (to me) huge compared to my regular stockman. This got me thinking that maybe you could do a video on different large stockman knives, their sizes and comparing their features...if you haven't already done this and I've missed the video. 😉

Some ancestors on my mom's side of the family were revolutionary war veterans to be a little bit more specific on my mom's side but not my grandma's only my grandpa's. My dad's side of the family were the ww1 and ww2 veterans

Yeah, I’d like to see some consistency in knife names from RR, too. I’m thinking of the 3” small, tiny, mini, or baby toothpicks. All 3”. Lol. Or the wide variety of Wharncliffes and work knives. Name each pattern and size, SMKW, and stick to it, and we’ll all have an easier time buying the right knives. Harrumph. I’m expecting some big 30th anniversary celebrations from Smoky next year. Sales, special knives, giveaways, who knows? I wonder if SMKW would offer the patriot series knives without the box and coin for a lower price. Some folks might prefer that.

I do know they have a couple other Stockmans in the 4 3/8 inch range that they have called a Jumbo before. I've seen this one called Large, Jumbo, and Texas. I just want some consistency.

I got a Canoe in the Patriot series but no box art, the main blade says "Freedom" and the second blade says "Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death". And there is not shield and no coin. O O

Maybe next time. The thing is, we didn’t become a republic until after the war had ended and there was a constitutional convention. At the time of the Revolutionary War we were more correctly a “Confederation of Independent States” with each state having its own form of government providing representation as each state saw fit . So should we have the coin say Founders of our Confederacy - The original vision of the Founders?

i dont buy anything not made in the USA. in fact, i spend my whole day making grass skirts so i have something to wear and making stone tools by pounding them with other stones that come from the USA.
