Always a pleasure to see all the knives you have. It's like a museum.

Great video and such a wonderful sentiment to express! Appreciate you Tobias! As you know I particularly value your channel for discussing the kind of knives I use and collect ..and for getting me into doing scrimshaw! All the folks giving/receiving my scrimshaw work as holiday gifts (now all over the world!) have you to thank!

Very observant Tobias. This year in particular I was disappointed with one (expensive) knife, but I have been more impressed with my purchases this year than any other year new and used knives. One knife looked well used with, it seemed, some rust in hard to get to places but when I received it it was near perfect. Several knives came better than they appeared on the internet. Maybe the lighting? Very lucky this year I think. Merry Christmas Tobias!

Merry Christmas we appreciate you. Glad you showed the Halloween contest winner knife. I brought one but haven't taken it out of its pack. I didn't know what the back side looked like.

Happy Christmas Morning, Tobias: A nice selection from 2024. I love my Black Cat knife. Mercator is rather close in concept to my own last name, which is Chapman. It’s an early medieval tradesman’s name referring to a merchant or vendor…..often traveling on foot from village to village. Your channel is my very favorite on youtube…..whether it be knives, watches, pipes, or whatever. You are the best. And all good to you and yours in the coming year.

My two favorite knives I got new this year were a blue case stockman medium sized? And a case Sodbuster jr For an extra Christmas present this year I gave my one nephew all my deer hunting clothing and accessories including a few fixed Buck knives and the other nephew I gave him twenty folding pocket knives. I'm kinda cleaning out my junk drawers and they are in their early twenties and finally settled down a bit so they can collect stuff now. I kept all my Case folding knives and gave away all my Rough Riders except for two.

Thanks Tobias, very well put about being greatful for what we have. The tortoise shell whittler is interesting, I have what appears to be the exact same knife with a Marbles tang stamp. On the reverse side of the blade to the long pull nail nick is a light etching "Germany" it light so would disappear with much use. Your knowledge and manner always make for a respectful and interesting video, Merry Christmas and thank you again.

I don't think I could pick a favorite. Seems like it depends on how I'm feeling. Out of all my knives new and old I'm carrying an old Camillus cub scout knife with blue handles it's perfect for most everything I do. Thanks Tobias for all you do and From my family to yours Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

IMO the German made CASE is better than an American made CASE.

The Case made in Solingen, Germany is probably a far better steel and build quality than the ones they’re currently making in the USA. They REALLY need to get back to working on their quality control standards these days.
