In this video, we continue on with our fleece-to-shrug project by working on the cabling part of the pattern together. I offer a tip for making extra space in the cable so it lays flat, just like the smaller cables. This is just an extra tip because I think it makes the Yuna Shrug look better.
Don't have the pattern yet? Print out the Yuna Shrug pattern, free from my blog (and also available as a ravelry download), grab some needles, and cast on with me!

Here's what you'll need:
US 11 circular knitting needles (16" or 24" cable)
1 cabling needle, or 1 dpn (double-pointed needle), size US 11
Stitch markers (2 different colors, if you prefer)
Your handspun! (or other bulky weight yarn)
Silk finishing tie, optional, but nice

How much do I need?: You'll want to err on the side of more, so if you have 7-8 ounces of wool, that'll be plenty for the whole project. The project calls for 160g of wool, which is about 5.6 ounces, but since you'll be carding and plying, extra wool is necessary to ensure the proper yardage.
