3:50 In rogue trader table top krak granades count as rare while frag granades are common, this means that a rogue trader who wishes to requisit a supply of frag granedes would likely get an innfinite supply for free, mean while getting a decent amount of krak grenades could not only take a while but also cost a profit factor or two, depending on the world he engages in trade with. 14:30 Rolling for curiosity or worldbuilding is a part of rogue trader, not all roles have to impact the story. 18:20 One of the formation options allowes you to set a custom formation. 17:20 A wise leader consults their advisors yet feels no obligation to follow their suggestions. 37:30 there was a glitched square that stopped abelard's charge 51:30 I am glad the game tempts you with knowledge tohat definetely doesent lead to corruption

A little To much talk about Grenades and rule books from another type of 40k I dont think its 1 to 1 in this game with the rule books Do Like that you just talking about him(Heinrix) behind his back haha I really do hope you take ALL the Companions you can on the WAY So we can hear and learn about them ALL Because. Like you say "They all keeping secrets" I really do hope you will take more of some of the "Funny" Talk option when you play for "Real" (; Yep knowledge/information is POWER! The more you know! The better you understand your enemy, the better you can take them on And the more you know! The Easyer it will be to outsmart/outplay others And again the more you know! The easyer it will be understand ppl and other stuff (; I think everyone who chooses to get on a Rogue Trader Ship/team or whatever. Do think a little more freely than they would normaly do 29:00 Really love how you said it "Rogue Trader First, Meaning its Argenta first" Like you are a gentleman. saying "Ladys First" If you had/have a warrant of trade from the time that the Emperor still walked the earth. One he has sign on with his own blood to your "Family" Not even the inquisition would dare to touch you. Without Good evidence/proof Btw. It's kinda funny now. That you see heresy in everything, everywhere and everybody now. Even now that you are a rogue trader. Some might think you are a secret agent of the inquisition (;

So, slight spoiler for the middle of the episode: Fun fact (more of a fun though) about Dements. Demente, in Spanish, means insane (I think it's related to the same root as the word "dementia"). So when Dements exposes his philosophy, my Spanish-speaking brain goes "hehe, heretic be crazy"

Well, on one hand I really like that Heinrix is not the ultra-puritan brand of Inquisitor, on the other I worry that if he keeps poking Chaos artifacts like that he will end up with a fate worse than death. And we need our psyker tank boi!

49:25 Well it looks like the game's logic is still confused about what weapon Pasqal has active, I'm pretty sure because of his unique setup of having two 2-handed weapons out at the same time and no second set to switch to.

Re-watch the footage; when you clicked on immediate dispatch, the game ever so briefly showed a green range which seems to have been your remaining movement range. From the name of ability I would assume the intention is to use it with full movement remaining to walk up and shoot things at point-blank, execution style.

But it also says on the tooltip that it ends your turn upon clicking it.

Pretty sure the Dementz scene is a direct reference to Return of the Jedi. "You are a protocol droid, are you not?" "Yes or no will do!"

Concerning Cassia, remember that the package containing the psychic bomb that corrupted and killed an entire ship's crew (and that was directed to the Rogue Trader) was signed by House Orsellio. Everyone in that crew is suspect!

Regarding the missing boss loot, if the game incorporated some more one-use items like special ammo, special grenades, special powerfields (for both melee and armor) they could be something that takes either 0-2 actions to use, and give a strong bonus for a single battle, or for the next shot, or till the first reload, or give a shield of 10 damage, stuff like that could be minor bonuses themed to the (mini) bosses. Or simply high value stuff to sell or use for the colonize stuff
@Naeron66 Жыл бұрын
The big difference is that damage and AP drops off more quickly with the Krak Grenade (8 and 3 per square), adjacent targets take 17 damage with 5 AP from KraK which is the same damage as the Frag (which drops by 3 and 1) which does 17 damage with 3 AP. So the Frag does the same to low armour adjacent targets plus the larger burst area. It is a trade between damage to an armoured target against damage to a larger number of lower armoured targets.

Since you said that you wished the minor bosses had better loot than plasma guns: A plasma gun is worth 10 PF and since they only give 3x the cargo points of an autogun I assume it's a lot better to sell them individually.

my assumption the -1 cell range for the assassin is -1 cell in every direction of maximum range. Not sure if the servo might have been at your maximum range, which at -1 max range would be out of range for the ability. Thats just my guess

"KNOWLEDGE IS HERESY!" That video title right there is one of the reasons why I _hate_ Warhammer 40k. Why should anyone be asked to play any sort of game where the intent is to fight FOR people like that?! What--"muh humans"? Despite the fact that there are canonically no good guys in this setting, all the video game stuff and a clear majority of the tabletop war game stuff is centered around this stupid Imperium, and the only reason that comes to my mind is "muh humans". :smh sadly: PartyElite, I like you. I like listening to your voice, and I like the commentary you provide for your play, but I'll be sitting this series out. Get back to me when you find something (particularly if it's not a 4X game) worth playing where a xenophile is _rewarded_ rather than punished, and where it's okay not to be human.
@bp3269 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I can see where you're coming from. I usually roll non humans too in other sci fi/fantasy settings when possible as I find humans too vanilla and why would I play a regular human and not actually use the unique races of this unique setting which I'm presumably here for? I guess 40k humans are so far removed from us modern ones in all the important ways that they qualify as interesting to me personally, plus they are still human underneath it all thus inherently relatable. But there are also a lot of people even in the 40k fandom that cant stand the Imperium and just main a xenos faction. Now a xenos faction that could genuinely be considered good used to be the Tau before Games Workshop decided to throw in some possible mass mind control shenanigans in the mix, which again a lot of people did not appreciate. And its also true that in terms of video game, book and even tabletop content its all oversaturated with Imperium content. But its actually 80% the posterboy space marines who if you think about it are ironically almost as different from a human as a xenos is. So technically even human lovers get shafted in this IP lol. But on this game in particular, I' ve actually noticed the opposite of what you described as so far Party playing like a classic imperial officer locked himself out of 2 companions, several side quests, conversation branches, opportunities( like not fight and ally with the Eldar leader vs the corrupt imp governor), much better xenotech equipment etc. I'm pretty sure the developers picked pretty much the best way in the setting being a rogue trader to allow you the true freedom to follow your real life moral or really any type of preferences when playing, not just to suckerpunch you for wanting to pick the non xeno hating options they offer. Or you know, you could always join Chaos as a big F.U. to the Imperium or just pay the stupid buerocrats 1000 years of interstellar travel away some lip service while running your personal empire however you wish.

In 40k you will find there are many, maybe too many flavours of human. As for the title, you should know that GW's Imperial Faith is inspired a lot by the Catholic version of a religion, and their favorite "Belief, not knowledge!" creed. The Adeptus Mechanicus are quite the opposite of that, as their creed is literally called the Quest for Knowledge.
