"LeBron is not in his prime, he's 34 years old! Kobe was in his prime and missed the playoffs!" People forget. A 34 Year old Kobe Bryant willed a Lakers team to the Playoffs in the 2012 -2013 season after being out of the playoff race before the all star game that season. He played All-NBA defense, and was still a force in offense. What it took? His Achilles. I like LeBron and injuries broke their playoff hopes but don't excuse his failures by belittling other players.

1.Kobe missed a bunch of games 2.Had Shaq, Fischer, and Phil Jackson all leave 3.Went through 3 coaches, one of whom only had experience as a head coach for one season back in the 90's 4. Lamar Odom missed a few games 5. Their next best player was who? Smush Parker? All I'm saying is Kobe has a lot to go through that season. Lebron has had a lot to deal with this season, albeit a bit less in my opinion. Everyone needs to stop the whataboutism and except that we're not making the playoffs and that hurts Lebron's legacy whether his fans like it or not.

I understand that the Warriors lost last night but Steve Kerr shockingly played Jonas Jerebko little minutes against the Celtics. I get that Steve Kerr is an incredible coach but you played your biggest weapon few minutes against an east title contender. Jonas Jerebko put up more points that Klay, Damian Lillard, and Kawhi combined against the Celtics last night. Steve Kerr has made some questionable moves in the past but he needs to play Jonas Jerebko all 48 minutes against these top teams.

@TheNamesDitto5 жыл бұрын
@@yourboyjustin2065 1)either you've been talking to people who aren't aware of the league or are Lakers stans that suck off any Laker related hype. 2) It's also cause the Lakers were essentially on tank mode during the end of Kobe's career and that continued after it so they did not need a good coach, just someone to run things. 3) Luke got hype wrongfully as he had the luck of inheriting a champion trained Warriors squad. Kerr had already instilled the play style and culture, Walton just had to sit and let it happen. Evidence being that Kerr trusts his players to call their own plays. 4) It's the Lakers. They bitch and moan about everything bad like they're not the league's favorite team. They also make claims like "Kobe is the GOAT and that's why everybody and their grandma would come to the Lakers."

We all know what happened since then. Now they are out of the playoff race again and everybody is acting if it was the biggest downfall in the history of sports. We knew this in the summer . This team got hit with multiple injured players, I love that we signed Lebron I’m fully onboard and he’s my favorite player in the league right now with G34 and luka . I don’t understand laker fans that don’t support Lebron and ride Kobe’s dick, cmon now the man gave him his blessing . Anyone hating on the lakers now keep the same energy next year. Lebron is still putting up 27 . Let’s agree nba teams would not best the 2019 dubs in a 7 game series 5 all stars. The vision for these lakers are and were originally for the next 3 years . Yeah AD on this team would given a warriors a run for their money, ( as probably the bucks /Celtics/ 76ers / MIGHT) but this 5 all star team is ultimately a granted chip. LA is super impatient and toxic when it comes to the team. Kobe Stans that aren’t riding with la bron are tripping. Off topic but Dwight going to LA and playing through his injury was one of the worst decisions any star has made. Kobe calling him soft ruined his reputation and if he had just healed probably he could still be a very elite big man

I think the whole point of bringing it up is as a defense against the narrative that the Lakers never would've missed the playoffs with Kobe. You know, those people who assert that this season proves that Kobe is greater than LeBron.

good video, but i think when people mention kobe missing the playoffs, they use it as an excuse for lebron to miss it too. its like saying kobe has a pass to miss the playoffs, so lebron does too

Indiana lost Oladipo and didnt have him early on either..the rockets have come from 14th to get to 3rd with injuries to their entire starting 5 the clippers lost their best player the nets have no star the heat are led by a 37 year old supposed washed up low % non shooter undersized d wade in limited minutes off the bench no less the kings have a better record the jazz came from 14 to get in as well..the fact la thinks its the only team thats deal with adversity is pretty funny..the nuggets and warriors as well as the rapts okc and 76ers have all deal with nagging injury issues to their stars too...no excuses...

Why do people hate kobe so much dom I don’t understand it why can’t people can’t just appreciate greatness they always just tear him down
@ericdupree86035 жыл бұрын
Kareem, Kobe, and Lebron all missed the playoffs for literally close to the same reasons. And this why I said that title of “best player” would significantly hurt him if he didn’t make the playoffs because he isn’t in his Prime anymore, not by a long shot, but still a Top 5 player. I thought after 2017 he wasn’t the best in the world anymore. Plus I think the difference between Kobe at 34 verses Lebron at 34 is that the Lakers are not finna make the same mistake they made with Kobe running him into the ground.

@RobertJohnson-nz3xm5 жыл бұрын
There is really no need to defame him. He really missed the playoffs the moment he went to the west. The man who according to many could drag a rotting carcass of a team to the finals missed the playoffs the moment he went to the western conference. And don't give me the he got injured excuse. He only missed 18 games, 60+ games should be enough to get him at least the 8th seed. They don't even have a winning record with lebron playing.
