Of COURSE, this video was "helpful"! YES, we ALL enjoyed the video! How could we not? You put so much into it! Plus you are genuine, you DID NOT waste our time, just to get likes, you were honest, straight-forward, ie did not sugar-coat, but yet you were generous and understanding! Also, you DID NOT stall and delay and drag things out, so your video could get a certain level of viewership. You cut straight to the chase and gave us the solid facts and equipped us with ALL we needed to understand and to know, in order to make a sound move. On a personal note, one can tell you are just an AWESOME human being, so we hope you keep finding reasons in your every day and in your "work" to stay motivated and to just keep smiling and generating that positon ve spark that you are. If you have shrinkage you can gently pull your curls section by section and blow dry on medium directly on the hair up and down the strands as your pulling it. The heat helps hold shape and elongate the strands and it’ll dry in that state.

You are so right about hair typing. I have 4b/c mostly c hair (I think)but it can do and look the same thing as 4a hair because I’ve kept my same moisturizing and protein routine for yrs. I used to have the same thoughts about my hair and say “ that’s easy for them because they have good hair” but as time goes on I have accepted my hair as what it is and now I see it as unique and healthy. I’m a wash and go girl because I have thin hair but it doesn’t show that in its natural state, therefore I am naturally me and I’m happy.

🤔 Why do a demo like this and not show the two sides together when *dry* ??? Because the inset he showed of dry "hanging" hair looked like the wet afro side of the hair. So how much does the afro side shrink when dry? Seeing these techniques don't help if we don't get to see the end result. But thanks for the tips!

How do you train your hair into getting your kind of curls while your hair is still short? Do you recommend use of the curl sponges?
@nixweldon16184 жыл бұрын
Anthony Hawk curl sponges will make a different type of curl pattern for you. It depends on your hair type kind of. I trained my hair to go from 4a to 3b just by making a Bantu knot routine, So now when I wash my hair it’s 3b. I think I was able to achieve this though because my hair has a nice porosity and is very manageable. You could always do finger coils, but if you use a gel there will be a lot of shrinkage which will make your hair appear even shorter. I don’t know how many inches your hair is, but if it’s really short I suggest just waiting it out.
@nixweldon16184 жыл бұрын
What’s your hair type?
@roseyposeyloposey14 жыл бұрын
@Anthony Hawk You may not naturally have his type of curl and you definitely don't need curl sponges to achieve a curl pattern. Your HAIR NEEDS WATER MORE OFTEN. Hydration improves moisture & definition...hydrated textured hair defines over time A/K/A trained natural hair. Saturate & hydrate hair with water more often esp. tight kinky coily hair as it holds moisture for a lesser time period than other curl types.. pref. every 3 days-1wk during your shower routine instead of just spritzing it with water in order to penetrate & bind moisture in the hairshaft. Be sure to utilize more water than product. Also you will find your hair will become more curly/coily & manageable overtime as you increase your hair's hydration level (frequency & consistency is key). All you need is quality water soluable shampoo to remove debris & buildup, conditioner to prime & seal in moisture to better retain water & protect against moisture loss, botanical styling gel and/or other gel to capture, weigh down, hold definition and provide a molded (protective) style for the week or longer and maybe a hair finisher/refresher for use throughout the week to restore hair's moisture level until next wash day. That is assuming you want to wear your hair in a wash n go or other natural hairstyle that reveals your natural curl/coil pattern. It gets better. I hope that helps.
