The only question I have about this game is did Ryan reveal all of the cards he drew into his hand while snoop was on the battlefield? I am wondering if this was either done correctly in the game but was not explicitly told in the editing/narrating to the audience, or if this was something that was over looked during play. This could have been important during play because the other players knowing what Ryan had in terms of answers and how close he was to winning at any time would have definitely affected their conscious decision making based around that information. For those of you wondering what I am specifically talking about, with how playing both with the top on one's library revealed and drawing lots of cards, mainly all the wheels in this game, a player would need to reveal each card as they drew them, either one by one or all at ounce after the wheel resolves but before anything else occurs. This is because the game doesn't consider each wheel as strictly "draw seven cards," but rather like "draw a card" repeated seven times. So basically, Ryan should have been playing with his hand mostly revealed to the other players for the rest of the game off of the wheel effects. Well, not really "revealed," but they should have all known what was in his hand that he got from drawing while the card he tutored from Gamble would remain secret.
@DanteMTG_3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Yes, this information was revealed to the table in terms of wheeling with snoop on the field, I just forgot what was in his hand and I am a bad player, oops 🤷♂️

One questionable decision I noticed: Deathrite Shaman could have exiled Kiki-Jiki in response to Noxious Revival, with the second Wheel on the stack. Given the shortage of colored mana available to Dante I can understand the choice, but it's something worth considering as it would have probably stopped Ryan doing anything impressive on his next turn, as opposed to easily threatening a win. Quite a good show regardless, though!
@DanteMTG_3 жыл бұрын
This is what I was kicking myself over and have been having trouble sleeping at night knowing the outcome of this game came down that play. In the response to him noxious reviving his kiki I did fetch a land but had no correct mana left for deathrite shaman, the result was me not paying attention to the mana I was using :(

Awesome game. I don't really play Ad Naus much but was Shaun looking for a response to Kodama w/ it? Do people usually play it on the end step before their turn? Keep up the great work! 🍻
@styfen3 жыл бұрын
He was playing it at a point where the table was unlikely to respond and stop him casting it. Higher tapped out was the best window. Unfortunately, he hit some expensive cards and a lot of not great for the situation stuff.

This was a really cool game. I love playing goblins in historic so it's always cool to see the snoop combo as a wincon. I'm not extremely familiar with all the snoop combo lines but why did Ryan sacrifice the Skirk Prospector when he first tried to go off when he could have sacrificed the Goblin Recruiter instead?
@Froosty113 жыл бұрын
If the plan goes sideways, u usually want recruiter out to use the last kiki-jiki ability to copy recruiter, therefore restacking ur deck for a new combo.
@toasterparty52173 жыл бұрын
Goblin Recruiter staying on field is good because you can choose to create a jiki-copy of it to reorder the top card of the deck.
@cowmark673 жыл бұрын
@@Froosty11 Ah ok. I didn't think about that. Thanks.
@ameliaburton53133 жыл бұрын
I also think he should've sacrificed Recruiter. It gives you the ability to sacrifice 5 extra copies of Snoop to cast Kiki which is a good thing to have on board in the worst case scenario happening. However, we're talking a % of a % difference. I built and have played the deck since November of 2020, and never actually had the Skirk vs Recruiter sacrifice matter

@PlayingWithPowerMTG3 жыл бұрын
Mox amber became a Mox ruby. It also turns on cards like Deflecting Swat.
@ameliaburton53132 жыл бұрын
The Rograkh package is 10 cards that normally require a bit of board development to be good, but with Rograkh being free and in the command zone, those cards are always live. The package is: Mox Amber Paradise Mantle Springleaf Drum Culling the Weak Infernal Plunge Diabolic Intent Deflecting Swat Jeska's Will Eldritch Evolution Deadly Rollick

At the end he couldnt have sacced all his snoops to mogg fanatic because it only sacs itself, not other goblins. Right?
@toemaetoe3 жыл бұрын
Mogg fanatic isn't on the battlefield, it's on the top of his library. Snoop has all activated abilities of the goblin on top of his library, so he saccs infinite snoops to themselves to shoot his opponent.
@ameliaburton53133 жыл бұрын
Despite Mogg Fanatic reading as « Sacrifice Mogg Fanatic: Deal 1 damage to any target » it really just means « Sacrifice [this object]: Deal 1 damage to any target » which is why Snoop gains the ability despite not being named Mogg Fanatic
