Kody attended a regular high school - there was an episode where he took the family to his hometown and met with some of his former classmates. One woman in particular was not surprised that he had become a polygamist because he “always had to be the center of attention”. Personally, I think Kody has a TON of unresolved “Daddy” issues. I don’t remember where I saw it, but I read somewhere that Kody’s father did not want him to become a polygamist because he felt that Kody wasn’t mature enough to handle the responsibility of multiple women. He also questioned Kody’s ability to support a large family. This may be why he became involved with fairly self sufficient women (barring Robyn of course). He could “prove” to his father & the church that he was worthy of the celestial kingdom without actually doing any of the work to get there. 🤷🏼

My older brother was like that. When he became a manager, he would call our mom and ask her to review and edit his writing. That was until she realized he was NOT learning and employing her edits. Then, he started asking me for help (I was a writer by trade). Eventually, as my career took off, I didn’t have time to review everything he wrote, so I would remind him of past information I’d given him, which made him mad. Instead of thanking me for my help, he would argue with my suggestions. He then decided he could edit his own work “just fine.” He would purposely use big words whether he understood their meanings or not. If I tried to explain why another word might work better (I approached corrections very carefully for his ego’s sake), he’d get upset and hang up on me. As such, his upper management quickly learned he wasn’t as smart as he tried to present himself. His career stalled and never went any higher. It was a real shame.

During the final meeting at Coyote Pass with Meri & Robyn, he told Meri to “stop blaming him” (for her wanting to leave) when she told him she wasn’t and then questioned why he thought that, he said that SHE said her decision was based on things he said and how he had acted towards her. 🙄 Dude. When you flat out tell someone you’re not interested in them or that they’re not going to come around and see them anymore, they’re most likely going to leave. When asked why they’re leaving, they’re probably going to say something along the line of “So and so isn’t interested in a relationship with me.” So ya, technically they’re leaving because of what was said, but the person who said those things didn’t give them an alternative solution or reason to stay. 🤦♀️

They also believe in the Book of Mormon, Book of Abraham and Pearl of Great Price (and one more...there are 4 more books). So, it's similar (in terms of "Bible Plus" )to faiths like Catholic where they believe in the bible, but also have rules for purgatory, confessionals, praying the rosary/praying to Mary, praying to saints etc. All of which is not in the Bible, but is part of their faith. However! Mormons have A LOT added to the Bible that they believe!!

There is a clip of Gordon B Hinkley (prophet of the church in the 90s to the early 2000s) saying yes, we are Christian definitionally because we follow Christ, but we are not mainstream Christian…so his answer was sort of a a “yes, and no” depending on what you mean my “Christian”. It’s on KZbin. I believe it was in an interview he did with 60 minutes. There are differences, and honestly, as a Member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, I don’t care what mainstream Christians say about us. A lot of you only know what your mislead pastors have told you about us. Very few actually try to be charitable, and understanding. If you want to understand the differences between The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and evangelical Christians from a perspective of love, compassion, and understanding I would point you toward the “Hello Saints” KZbin channel. It’s run by an evangelical pastor who is trying to bridge the gap of understanding between the The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints world and the evangelical Christian world.

He went to public high school. But I think he was too focused on himself to focus on studies.

Yes Jenny the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price are our scriptures in the LDS church. I"m looking at my quad we call it that holds all these books of scripture in one book. Thanks Jenny for the great videos.

I'm sorry to report that "cloak of charity" is an old expression taken up by LDS. Maybe it has other religious origins as well, I don't know. I hate when Kody hits on one cylinder.

@Senior Perspective Hi Jenny!! How are you today? I wish that someone would've covered Kody "with a cloak of charity" when he flexed while he and Robyn were on their honeymoon, and when he took a dip in Coyote Piss Pond!! And for God's sake, someone please "cloak" his bald spot!! Happy Tuesday, Jenny!

@Jenny, I'm hearing some vibration sounds on this video and I think it may be coming from your mic. I don't hear it when I listen to the clips you have inserted, only when you're speaking. I wonder if anyone else is hearing this same noise? OH! Hey, I think it ends around the 4:17 mark and I don't hear it again.

weird. Could have been something going on with my computer. I do have a mic that just came in so next LIVE on Thurs night I will use it for the first time. Hopefully that will fix my sound issues.

Imo Kody couldn't cut it to be in polygamy . The woman and children could have respect his efforts if he was trying to get along with all the greater Brown family. if he treated them as well as he treated Robyn and her brood (the 5 pack) of childern tenders 🍟. So much for love should be multiplied .

I’ve always thought Kody was creepy, especially the way he treated Mary ! After she gave him and Robin the divorce I thought that was a fake scene The way Robin cried as she always does I think Mary really thought it would make Kody love her again, but that didn’t work out 🤷🏻♀️

When he says cover that sin with charity, he just means show forgiveness I don’t know. I know everybody thinks that when he says cover this in with charity, he means to lie, but I think he just means to give forgiveness because that’s what charity is in that context that’s what charity is and of course he’s talking about his ability to forgive Christine or Meri
@SeniorPerspective11 ай бұрын
That's possible. Or he could also be using "charity" incorrectly. Who knows.

What I think when he talks about experience is another indication that he doesn’t see the humanity in other people. He’s only looking at things as a situation, and how it looks from the outside. He is not into people as individuals. He is looking for a movie novel of his life to be lived out. And your value to him is how well you play a role
