Nah, cause modern play isn't that fun for everyone. The power creep has hit a ceiling, there's not much further it can go without continuing to fundamentally changing the game by subverting the very mechanics that used to define the game. Trap cards need to be set before springing them on your opponent? Too slow, gotta make Hand Traps and give them three effects. Oh, and you can use them again when in the GY. Need materials plus Poly for Fusion? Too slow, just play this one card and send the materials directly from the deck. Xyz require two monsters of the same level? Too slow, just overlay this one to get it out. How do we make this boss monster super strong? Just give it a free omni-negate and can't be destroyed by battle, card effect, tributed, or used for fusion summon. Oh and nothing can be activated in response to it. F modern lol, play older formats people.

All they need at this point are Pendulum monsters just to fill out the 'every card type represented in the archetype' acheivement. Make such a retrained Kaibaman and add his Sidekick Mokubro. Give them card recycling effects (i.e. Card trader, to address the brick problem) so they fill an uncovered niche but can otherwise be ignored by people who don't want to play them.

I still have no real confidence or assurance that we will get this structure deck. That would be amazing, but we typically get an announcement of the TCG release for 3 months after its OCG release. So that monster is a living numeron force (except it can work during either player's turn) which makes it pretty much a mega omni negate + it also has an effect that pretty much combine silent doom (except you can select the battle position) + axe of despair. That's def an excellent card to say the least. Also question: think you'll cover new evil hero cards? I'm curious to know your opinion about them

I find kinda unfair how much good Blue Eyes support they give the players but Dark Magician usually has bad support. I understand BE is the cover card from the very first booster, but DM is literally the protagonist card. Despite they making that Silent Magician/ Exodia support... Extra deck dark ruler isn’t what the deck needed. It’s not even as good as dark ruler since it can be responded to. The new synchro requires too much investment, the maiden retrain is good, probably the only good card. The link 1 searches a field spell that is power crept, they needed a card that is treated as mausoleum, but it’s a link 1 with a down arrow for Pisty, so it’s dragon link support rather than blue eyes support. The only meta relevance this deck has is spirit stopping graveyard effects. Going back to the new XYZ, why would u ever make this when u can go draglubion instead to win the game? Also I’m not 100% sure but wouldn’t you need a normal monster in grave to activate the effect? Lastly, you can’t detach a blue eyes then summon back the detached one without it losing the ability to attach directly, which if this is meant to be an OTK card, that’s a big deal. Blue eyes was not in need of a rank 8c u woukd still play Dingiesu or even Lancelot + Zeus is better than this.

Extra deck negates will always be better than main deck unsearchable negates. Also the synchro gets cheated off spirit, the only investment is putting it in your extra deck 😂.

I don't know if you are intentionally crying about the new cards or just don't realize the synergies. - the new synchro is FREE by using old Spirit to tag out - the "powercrept" field spell is just DOUBLE SUMMON that freely allows you to target your Maiden and get a FREE revive, while it also mills FOR FREE another BEWD. - The diagonal arrow is intended that way to not make it busted in Dragon links since this is FOR BE. - The revive it offers not only triggers Maiden essentially turning a link 1 into a synchro 9 but can also unbrick you. - the Omni negate will bait a board, then you can rank this up into a Zeus to clear that board. - if the negate works you freely otk. - if you need to detach your only BEWD from it, you can still attack A MONSTER with 4k then attack directly with the revived BEWD that also became 4k and close the game that way. Do I even need to mention multiple 1 card combos (with any discard) leading to Magia (3 Omni negates) + new Spirit? Or how the deck finally became so consistent it can run up to 15 non-engine? The fact BE got such good quality support other anime decks could only dream off yet ignorants complain about it without even testing the support is outrageous

This card is just a side deck option. It being an Xyz was so unnecessary cause if it was a synchro monster, spirit dragon would be an even better card and indigo would earn itself a spot in the extra deck, definitely a hard miss on Konami.

Spirit cheating this out is exactly the reason they made it an Xyz. Not triggering on Special Summon would be considered terrible card design. Triggering could also lead to Spirit getting limited in the future for doing too much. This way BE gets a legal Xyz instead of the match winner and a cool reference to Azure Eyes from the structure deck that got retrained.

Yubel gets a good extender, and Blue-Eyes gets a good board breaker, like they'll go out of their way to print stuff like azamina and fiendsmith, so why not make the last card for Blue-Eyes *actually* good.

Please dont listen to CapG on this one. This card is dogshit for the blue eyes deck. Too hard to summon and you would rather synchro summon and use your synchros and tyrant dragon to break boards. This also makes you have to play 3 lvl 8 blue eyes monsters instead of only 2. More bricks for a meh card. Not worth it.
