Giving them the "Religious school" loophole means that they simply don't integrate or even bother learning the language as they don't have to. Meanwhile, they are quietly exporting to each country and multiplying as fast as possible outbreeding the "Dye my hair pink, chop my p3nis off" children of the West. The world is looking like it's on the way to becoming an Islamic caliphate with someone like andrew tate as "king of earth" (I feel I could argue a case for this it's the perfect breeding ground). They think differently as in they KNOW things like if you let morality slide civilisation is DONE etc and they play the long game. I'm thinking of selling my home in the UK and moving abroad for reasons too numerous to mention not just this one. When has a problem in your life just sorted itself out without you actually taking action or doing ANYTHING about it? This is the UK we are just a piece of data that can be deleted here. Strange times. I'm just glad I own my home outright and can actually afford to do this. I notice anyone around me with money like me it's don't the same. I'm going to do my best to avoid having to quietly eat bugs in my pod wearing my headset connected to the meta verse as its then less than a decade to us all lying in the pink nutrient sludge from the matrix as should you all. Truly *DANGEROUS TIMES* guys 🤷🏻‍♂️

But they start implementing their rule and start telling the people who's home therein how they should live and where they should live. I mean, look what's happened in England already. And it's starting in America where there are no go zones. So multiculturism sucks Muslims sucks. These Islamic men are living in the fifth century. the majority of Brits have known for decades that most immigrants don't integrate but polarize and set up their own communities. As Konstantin pointed out, when they become a majority in this country, which is now beyond debate, WE will be the ones have to integrate.
@reality_is_the_key
@reality_is_the_key 7 ай бұрын
It happens here in the states as well. They do not integrate at all, with the exception of a fraction of the people who come from India. The generation of the 20 ish year Olds seem to be more likely to integrate, but others, such as Haitians, Somalian, Asians, and the majority of the migrants from middle eastern countries set up their own villages. They come here and create the same environment that they left. They fly their country's flag, they follow the laws from that country, they live in the same conditions because they created those conditions here. Diversity is not a strength. It's a mess.

@mountainair

Fair point. I think this can happen even for groups who don't begin with exactly the same values, converging over many generations, but only provided we employ a more slow-paced and sensible immigration policy (vetting)... I'm speaking as an immigrant here (came w parents to US in order to escape communism in the 80s). My parents worked their butts off to make a life for us here, my dad designed medical devices now in every doctor's office in the country, my mom helped the poor as a social worker. My brother and I are also productive, law abiding members of society, no criminal records. Compare that with those who wish to impose sharia law in US and EU and are often on welfare from the moment they arrive indefitely. How do I know that's their intention? They say so themselves. There was a pew research survey about attitudes toward sharia by Muslims in EU and elsewhere. The problem is sharia is at odds with humanism, we don't stone people to death, or throw them off buildings for believing differently, we don't beat women without jail time.. this isn't the dark ages, we moved on.
@velraven8944
@velraven8944 7 ай бұрын
And those similar values and cultural backgrounds can be the shared value of individual freedom and 'diversity', that was the American philosophy. The once-shared cultural values of the western philosophy were freedom of the individual above all, "Liberty consists in the freedom to do everything which injures no one else; hence the exercise of the natural rights of each man has no limits except those which assure to the other members of the society the enjoyment of the same rights", and that necessitates freedom of religion, freedom of culture, and as such inherently creates diversity while simultaneously being a shared universal cultural identity in itself. This is an understanding the west has lost, by design or otherwise.

Nah, it was the opposite for me, christian conservative parents, hell bent on stifling the questions of young person since 5 years old, they would rather we go to church, get indoctrinated in my native tongue, while trying to assimilate, not to mention the physical and mental abuse from a alcoholic father. Thats my background to becoming a atheist and liberal. I do believe the point about people sticking to their groups and not trying to assimilate, these people remind me of my dad who was an ahole in that regard, he would always support every other team but the team/country that we migrated to, seriously effed! Conservative ideology only works for certain groups of people of privilege.

I’m British. I lived abroad for several years. I learnt their language, and adapted to the country and culture - and it enriched me. I avoided living in an enclave. It only builds division, hate for the host country, and distrust from the locals. Sadly, I see this on a large scale now affecting whole areas of London and some towns in the UK. And not for any modern or progressive benefit. I don’t see equality, liberation, assimilation or integration but only a form of occupation driven by prescribed religious apartheid that they’ll march and complain of others doing abroad. The irony.

That's actually not what he says, though the slightly clickbaity title suggests it. Diversity of opinion and thought and even culture by itself is a good thing - it is how we hone our own ideas about life. The problem lies with tolerance and the problem he describes has been thus described in the mid 20th century by Karl Popper: You can't tolerate the intolerant, otherwise the intolerant take over society and win (roughly paraphrased).

The team wasn't chosen for diversity, they didn't exclude better soccer players because they were white. The team was selected for a single criteria, soccer. Not melanin, or sexual preference, or religion, or politics - just soccer. To shout about diversity after winning was a complete farce. @@johnsmithers8913 we don’t have to do distasteful things ..integrity is always of the highest importance but we do need to be strong and direct and stop unsavoury stuff in the bud. As a former school teacher you saw that the best teachers were firm and immediately stopped the kids getting away with stuff and although this took a lot of effort initially and a strong skin against pushbacks, most kids appreciated it in the end and the results were very good. People get away with what they can..it’s human nature. In South Africa, we grew up understanding that diversity is not a strength, although our Coat of Arms say "diverse people unite". It's interesting that the rest of the world is finally catching up. Forced integration is a BIG mistake. Separate development is essential. It doesn't mean you are totally isolated from each other. It simply means that you hold on to your own culture and beliefs, or face extinction.

In my opinion different race’s can live together BUT ONLY IF ALL RACE’S SHARE THE SAME CULTURE AND RELIGION. No country can survive when different religions and cultures are struggling for dominance within the same country. Example: Many Caribbean island’s have citizens from multi-race’s and mixed race peoples… But there is very little frictions between peoples because they all equally share the same culture and religion’s.

So I usually give my alcohol quota (cheap alcohol bought tax free upon entering my country after travels) to my dad or by boyfriend. 2. so my dad and boyfriend get a bottle of free liquor from me each their turn… 3. then they started to take the gift for grandted. 4. then my dad and bf started to feel like it was always their turn. And becoming rather sour if they didnt get booze. I realized the rules for gift was not «healthy». It made the two persons I know to not be greedy become greedy. So the solution was simple. NO FREE SHI!T! To bad . No need to regret and show remorse coz I am not buying anything for you again. Now, I do gift them some nice scotch or whiskey or whatever from time to time, but I never connect the purchase to any if my travels. They are back to normal. Morale: we should not create systems that are exploitable, certainly not vased on victimization rules. Sorry. My english sux and the analogy is donkey speak

When Konstantin says 'victims of our own success' - man. I have been thinking on the reasons behind the current climate of protest and nonsense coming out of the young people. And his thoughts are very spot on with what I have come up with: They don't have a real 'struggle' to be part of - so they are making one. Maybe the natural human condition is one of suffering, and they are feeling left out. Because they have never actually experienced it. My kids (early 20's) are the same - but being Israeli/South Africans, they are getting a hard lesson in reality right now as to what actual suffering is - and identity politics is not suffering. I wish they didn't have to. But I also know they will come out the other end more thoughtful and careful adults.

Christians and Jews began to move elswhere and suddenly churches and synagogues were replaced by mosques. Not only that, we are now having clashes between these folks who are bringing their prejudices with them within their own communities. In my opinion the way immigration is being done in Canada it's actually turning Canadians more angry and hostile towards immigrants. And why would they not feel this way? You are seeing groups bring in their prejudices and their own beliefs and disregarding the society they chose immigrate to. You see them take advantage of every social program, stuff as many people as they can under one roof, drastically change the acceptable standard of living, and we're just supposed to smile and say everything is fine.
