It’s funny to me that Korea has no anti-discrimination laws to wear their store owners, and the club owners can put up signs that say this particular race is not allowed in this club and yet we got BTS coming over here to America talking about stop beating Asian people black people, but yet people who are not Korean or not allowed in certain establishments sounds like Jim Crow stuff to me, but they won’t even defend people visiting Korea much less care about a rape case. I'm an American who doesn't care about KPop, so I have looked at this ongoing Burning Sun scandal from the outside in, unbiased. I know that the culture as a whole doesn't condone this behavior, but it does seem to allow it to happen far too easily. Prison sentences are inappropriate for the crimes committed. 18 months, 2 years, or even 5 years is not enough. After release, there should be no way any of these people get back into the entertainment industry. There shouldn't be one fan left supporting them or spending money on them. Law enforcement appears lazy and corrupt to me. The justice system is clearly bought and paid for by wealthy and influential people. Respect matters if you call someone even 3 days older than you Hyung, but it doesn't apply to women who are drugged and marketed like items at a grocery store to disgusting perverts in clubs. Of course there are loads of dudes who got away with it, and are still getting away with it. If I were a KPop fan, I'd be eyeing every male idol carefully, because this reflects badly on all of them. There was 2 phones. One was only the contacts and he was never involved. Confirmed by the main journalist and police. He stopped being friend with JJY in 2016 when he was accused of SA. It’s honestly surprising to me that I did not know that any of these people were involved. And the fact that they were involved and didn’t report it to the police is what baffles me more. As someone who still follows the Kpop scene, especially big-known 5th generation groups such as BoyNextDoor. Knowing that Zico was allowed to create a new group, and act all buddy-buddy with them despite knowing that he was likely one of the reasons the case had not been exposed sooner is appalling too, especially knowing now that BoyNextDoor is currently one of the most well-known groups.

It would be in Zico's best interest if he did NOTHING. Just continue with his life. It would make no sense to do otherwise. Arguing that Zico wouldn't publicly talk about the "Golden Phone" if it contained illegal material doesn't seem logical to me. Of course they assumed that they wouldn't get caught. It's usually none of the public's business what's on your phone, especially if the public assumes that it's the "Golden" status of it is due to celebrity contact info. But as long as no one admits to it or gets snitched on, people who look at illegal stuff on someone else's phone in a private setting (no cameras around) can't be proven to be guilty. So technically in this case Zico can only be "guilty" of being close friends with a p*rvert.

Agreed. The investigation overall needs to be reopened. To many unanswered questions. And the amount of jail time is so low. Say what you may about the US justice system, the crimes that this people got convicted of would lend them at minimum 25yrs in prison here. And to many victims need and should get justice. I am sure they're countless of victims that have not come forward. As per the BBC report little to nothing has changed so that says a lot. (Coming from a nonfan of Zico) As for Zico there's no proof he did anything wrong other then what he said. I'll admit his answers leave you with a bad taste but, can't convict someone by suspension alone. Until other wise I withhold judgement and give him the benefit of the doubt. Going to share the same i have written in other posts, I'm a guy but have always have a knack knowing the character of people, Seungri always gave me the creeps and irk me, the only other person I have felt the same is Zico, when i watched the things he said about Seolhyun, his girlfriend, he just rubbed me rhe wrong way and felt like I knew his character and only red flags poped out, when i watched the golden phone clip i l just knew the guy have done some pretty dark sh*t and doesn't feel any remorse. Regarding accusations without evidence in this case, it's incredible how there's always someone to give the benefit of the doubt to those accused of rape. The victims are always oppressed or forgotten, there are many in this case. The power relationship is infinitely unequal, I don't have an ounce of pity if someone is being unfairly accused, they're all filthy rich, they manage to defend themselves unlike the victims, they're accomplices in some way and worst of all, they always get away with it. So here’s the thing - not everyone who knows someone who does something bad knew they were doing something bad. I hate the ‘there’s no way they didn’t know’ but like… women marry serial killers and are later legitimately shocked when they get caught. I dont think that malicious people would stop at harrassing zico whether online or offline by offering a longer explanation. People who are already have a biased opinion on him or have already been saturated with rumors and speculations will not stop even if a longer explanation is issued simply because they have already formed an opinion of him so it will be just futile to do such a thing when people will not even believe with any explanation even if the explanation is the truth because they will never accept less than they proved that their already formed opinion is the truth. This is why basing information on just opinions and speculations based on non judicial facts are just not the way to go to be the norm for everything even for like vlogging. I urge all vloggers not to rely heavily on speculations but based their content on facts and judicial facts if possible and not also being so reliant on so called media or just fan sites or forums where so many non validated information on many issues have come for the last how many decades. These practice should end and that content based on facts should be the norm instead as it is the correct and moral way to do. Being factual for me is much more important than to speculate as speculation as we have seen for decades have not help anyone.
