Tammy really needs to go to therapy. It's not only about eating, she's giving up. She really needs to get regular psychological help individually, without her sister. Otherwise, even if she manages to lose wight again, she'll stay in this vicious cycle and will gain it back. Also, I'm so happy for his brother. He lost weight and did the lifestyle changes that doctors require for the surgery even before seeing the doctor!
@nvs5143 жыл бұрын
A human should want to live, this level of giving up screams of clinical depresssion. If you feel this way, anyone reading this, please look for a suicide help line or mental health supports in your country and just try talking to someone. It just starts with a little tiny step towards getting better and you have to take that first step for yourself (not necessarily by yourself though). The first steps are the hardest but the second third and all the rest get easier and you have the time and chance to get better, don't give up.

Amy used Tammy as motivation because Tammy is literally everything Amy doesn't want to be. Chris cares about his wife and children, so he doesn't want to be a burden in their lives like Tammy is to everyone. Tammy has not got that kind of empathy.
@mswishwashstoning84503 жыл бұрын
When Tammy got a boyfriend it would seem like it was a good opportunity to put her health first, since she wanted to marry Jerry. But she ended up seeking somebody who liked big women (obese probably seeing his wife). You'll see in later episodes how is the one who brings snacks and unhealthy food for Tammy instead. She wants somebody to love her at her current state and not pressure her to lose weight and because of that she's not in the right mindset for wanting to lose weight. Which is why she cannot be accepted as a patient for bariatric surgery cuz it doesn't seem she would try to eat healthy or exercise afterwards. I think lots of ppl do think if they magically get surgery or have 100 pounds removed from their body then they would suddenly start taking care of their health. It's sinilar to chronic procrastination. You're most likely not gonna change your habit. It's most important for Tammy to acknowledge she needs and wants (keyword wants) to lose weight and be healthy, but you can't force her.
@mswishwashstoning84503 жыл бұрын
And also spoiler alert for the finale of the show . . . . She still lost hardly any weight and fails the goal this new doctor gave to her. It seems she's looking or already has admitted herself into those weight loss facilities again, the one where she's looked after and forced to follow their diet plan and exercise. She's already been admitted to one of these before but it seemed like something she felt forced to do and it didn't make any changes to her mindset. Hopefully this new facility who give her good therapy and help change her mindset cuz once she leaves the facility her life is left to her actions.

Best of luck on your journey. No one ever said this was easy, but it's rewarding af. We're all rooting for you. I'm 30kg into a 50kg weight loss journey. It really is the food, and it really is this: "Do or do not, there is no try". Don't TRY to not eat the things. Don't TRY to exercise more. You're either in or you're out, psychologically...the tasty poison doesn't have your back, so yeet it from the house. It doesn't go in your trolley, it doesn't end up in your cupboards, it's not in your life. You may even consider going to the length of telling family and friends to not gift you or offer you any sweet treats, and ask them to consider other cool things (candles? tea collection? gift vouchers?) if one of the sources of sweets is other people introducing them to your stock. Personally, I found substituting loose leaf tea for sweet stuff when the urge rises to be helpful - no sugar, just delicious flavours like raspberry or peppermint or rhubarb. Other things I've seen is people putting signs on their fridge etc; "Are you hungry or are you bored?". There are so many little things you can do to arrest your own demons when they try and grab the wheel from you. Best thing you can do is call those demons by their names and face them, rather than allowing self-hate to creep in. You're worth so much more than that.

I love watching these video's because it makes it more fun to watch the show, but I was telling my dad how Tammy gained 22 kg in 30 days and even my mom screamed from the other room "WHAT?!". I didn't even think that was humanly possible. I think Tammy really needs to change something because this is going really wrong this way. I do really hope for her she can do it tho!
