He had Eternal Witness in hand from one of the previous Unesh picks. Since he had a lot of mana left, he would just get Biovisionary from graveyard and play it again.

horde of notions and omnath creation are two of my favorite decks also!!! they are elementals but they have so different gameplay and that makes it interesting for me. personally, I feel that omnath is the more aggressive between the two but you could get quickly targeted by the whole table, while horde of notions kinda build resource and swings with an army later on in the game, so it didn't build animosity from the table early in the game. I enjoy playing both decks.

I love Zurgo Helmsmasher so much as a commander. Here's some cool facts about him: There is no way to get 7 hasted power out of the command zone, let alone all the other stuff he does, for less or equal mana. 7 power is the break-even power for commander damage, where higher power has diminishing returns (takes the same number of attacks to kill an opponent), up until 11 power. It is also a factor of 21. Meaning, adding power to Zurgo is meaningless if you don't add 4 (or higher), and each time you double it in some way, it reduces the clock to kill an opponent by 1. This really affects your decision making when choosing cards/equipment for him. Trample and Vigilance are meaningless words, as they hardly change the clock and Zurgo is a shit blocker anyway, and instead Double Strike, unblockable and effects like Fear, Protection and Menace become much more relevant. This is also why Swords of X and Y are just so strong on him, as they cover multiple bases and benefit from double strike. Also, Sunforger and any source of Double Strike instantly kills a player that can't block. Mardu is an amazing color identity for a sunforger package, allowing you to cover so many situations with it.

My 4 color omnath just goes nuts most of the time, I play it with only 3 pieces of interaction but get turn 4 turn 5 wins most of the time, lemme know if you want to see the list I have it on manabox, titania plus Risen reef and 2 color omnath is nuts, titania and Risen reef plus sylvan safekeeper/any sac land outlet is good, I keep a kozilek for mill protection, valakut exploration is a good wincon, I try and not use any normal combos that everyone uses because it feels cheap to me, the deck hasn't let me down so far so yeah

Yeah, Korvold is interesting because of card draw, but Prossh can kill someone with temur battle rage, beastmaster ascension and tainted strike/chandra's ignition Hope to see him soon on the thumb nail.

4c omnath is more an acquired taste commander for landfall strats, I built mine as an omnath tribal for the lulz

That has to be the least useful method to attach equipment that I've seen. I also put my equipment/auras UNDER the target card, but I keep the TOP of said equipment/aura visible so the titel/art can be seen. But I've also seen folks put their auras/equipment on top of the creature, which is almost as bad as this (but not quite). :)

@@gdiridium5525 Most players know a card by the name or art without needing more information around the table, within a play group. And if you DO need more information seeing the text box from across the table doesn't help anything at all - you'll still need ask to see it and read it. Not many players can read a text box from where they are sitting to someone else's battlefield. When you have the title of the equipment showing, especially a bit of the art, it's enough to remind players what it is without having to ask. Especially when you have like 2 or 3 pieces of equipment on one creature, and it's just a sea of text boxes. The Redcap came back with a -1/1 counter. If it died again it wouldn't have triggered Persist. Ryan needed another way to bring it back + Bomb and Grumgully.

It seems that your group is very light on removal There is no chance a copied lotus cobra would last more than one turn in my playgroup. Than again my Omnath has 44 lands and seems much more aggresive(it is not cedh and might even be cheaper than your list). It seems to me, you should run more lands in landfall strategies.

Delay is not overrated, it depends on the deck. Delay is amazing because the suspend 3 counters don't matter if you are gonna try to win the game in the next 2 or 3 turns especially with a fast combo deck or cEDH deck. It's also amazing in counter wars because those counterspells will get fizzled when they finally come back to play.

@@DoctorStrangeful yeah, that's the point. It's not bad, but just because it's good in cedh doesn't mean it's good in casual edh as evidence by this game. Counter wars are less frequent and games last longer. The reason I dislike it in casual edh is because there are much better counterspells

In cedh yes you would do it because some counterspells (namely the ones past the 3 mana ones) are worse and countering a counterspell is good. But there are hardly decks in casual edh who want that many counterspells and even then there are too many better than it
