Yes, it's a break-up song and there are more where that came from. "Puzzle", Sayonakidori" OTOH: they also do stay together songs like "Endless Story" or "Wonderland" Nobody does a heart-wrenching song like Band-Maid. This is one of their many strengths. I can't think of any weaknesses. I can't think of any other band that puts as much intelligently directed effort into their songwriting as Band-Maid. They are a songwriting machine with all the knobs cranked past eleven and the master switch fused to the closed position. Their two lyricists work bi-lingual magic: follow the translations, the writing is brilliant. Their lead guitar and composition lead has some very interesting and creative ideas on group songwriting. They write songs that bring tears to your eyes, a smile to your face, and inspiration to your heart. This band writes thank you notes. For smiles: "Afterlife", "Influencer", "No God", and watch them do "Dice / HATE?" live. Really, this is the only band I can recommend that you visit their KZbin channel and listen to anything they've posted. It's all good. Band-Maid demonstrates consistent brilliance.

You were pretty quick to catch the melancholy from Kanami's guitar. There are flashier and more bombastic bands, but not very many that can make you feel as deeply as they do. Yeah, "feel my soul" - Kanami takes her PRS and makes you feel her soul.- and you can barely talk afterward. *"Play"* (live) if you want to feel upbeat, or keep your ears open for a new song *"Magie"* sometime next year. _"Everybody dance!"_

Band Maid.... best served Live.... while the music videos are quite good.. no one elevates their game like the Maids do when they take the stage.... I highly recommend you pick any of the official Live videos off their channel, sit back and experience true talent...personally I would recommend Puzzle , Freedom, Manners / Black Hole... pick one and release the hounds...
