The song is about Eugene Shoemaker, a geologist and astronomer recognized as the father of planetary geology. When he died, his ashes were transported to the moon during the Lunar Prospector mission so he is the only person to be buried on the moon. I've heard this hundreds of times and yet I am in tears EVERY time when Floor begins singing the Laudato Si at the finish.

My late father had contact with Mr. Shoemaker when he was working on the telemetry for the last few Apollo Missions, and then with the Space Shuttle. Mr. Shoemaker has some of his ashes, in a stainless steel urn on the moon. This song is a Masterpiece... Plain and Simple! Love your channel....and don't worry about crying to Nightwish songs...it happens to almost every Nightwish fan! Oh..new subscriber!

That was one of the best reactions to this, or any other song, I’ve ever seen. I really need to say though I’m terribly, terribly sorry about your sister, but it’s beautiful that this song also brought out your memories of her. PLEASE don’t be afraid of breaking down on camera, especially over something like that…and doubly so during a Nightwish song. Their music has a tendency to do that.

Dear Rana, I love your reaction! I had literally the same feeling, when I heard this amazing song for the first time... and I still get goosebumps all over too with every new listen... and you have captured the essence of the lyrics very well, even before you knew the meaning behind. Interesting fact: The spoken part with the quote from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is read by Johanna Kurkela, the wife of Nightwish mastermind Tuomas Holopainen.

@@GiddyKitty Because Nightwish with Floor is one the best live bands out there. They were good with the first singer, the operatic Tarja Turunen and okay with the second singer, the poppy Anette Olzon although she struggled with some live songs especially those written for Tarja. But now there is nothing that Floor can't sing..
