And people were cheering when they included some bts verses from no more dream ( it's also about school system in SK but more current ofc )the people in the audience aren't bts fans. One of the best part of the concert. Look to fancams.

That was before they got famous, now most of their songs are super generic and full of autotune
@explore.express.love.34832 жыл бұрын
@@yessymoreno5967 if by 'famous' you mean when they blew up exceptionally, then let's take the works since 2020 1. BE- not one track in the 'BE' album was generic, production wise or lyrically. Infact it had the most creative and unique sounds, all the more appreciable since this album had heavy involvement of all members in the production and writing and not just the rappers. It was critically acclaimed by critics worldwide with very high ratings. 2. The three English singles- Having listened to a lot from their very vast discography, there are songs that are much more superior in comparison to the success of these songs. But for it to be completely different from the styles they have previously done, it was good to have light hearted Funk songs that showcase the diversity in comparison to all the dense topics they keep hitting. 3. The 3 new tracks of PROOF album- lyrics narrating their history. Yet to come was pop blended with old school hip hop. Run BTS was a mix of various styles of hiphop, and edgy vocals. For youth is a slow moody yet upbeat song which really pulled of even more with live vocals during shows. 4. Japanese singles (stay gold and your eyes tell) are such pretty and soothing songs with a steady build of vocals that bts's Japanese songs always give. 5. Special mentions (Subunits, collabs and solos): •My universe- by Coldplay and BTS •Stay alive, CHAKHO- by Jungkook (Prod. Suga) •That That- by Psy (Prod and Feat. Suga) •My You- by Jungkook •Left and Right- by Charlie Puth and Jungkook •Jack In the Box (album)- by Jhope [Generic? Musically, the tracks in here were such a risky move, with pure hip hop rock elements, super dark, hard hitting, real and personal lyrics, stacked to form a story. This was significant in kpop for an idol to to talk about such dark topics unabashedly. Something that always stood huge with bts and clearly the member still hasn't lost that essence. Check out jhope at lollapalooza. If you mean pre 2020, cause in terms of popularity they made it to the west and western awards by 2017, then this comment won't end explaining all the ways in which they have been anything but generic, musically, artistically or creatively.

I got goosebumps when Mic drop came and there was B T S. The fact that Seo Tajji chose BTS to remake his song Come Back Home even before BTS was this huge shows that he saw potential. BTS were approved by the man who started the whole revolution. Shows that BTS’s success wasn’t any accident, but they deserved it. Each of the members are highly qualified making them a group way powerful than kpop could have imagined. A group that spoke about topics kpop never dared to touch back then. BTS have inspired many groups since and now we see groups who talk about the society n issues, we got groups who make their own universe... it’s wonderful. Stream D-2!!

Seo Taiji is really special because he is not just special in terms of music, but he has completely changed the Korean music industry. The concept of comeback comes from Seo Taiji. Before there was a concept of comeback, the singer didn't have any special authority, but Seo Taiji didn't want to do it. He wanted a cycle of making songs with plenty of rest, working for some time, relaxing and making songs. That's why I did it, but it was possible because it was Seo Tai-ji, and after that, everyone followed suit and became a culture.

@@DKDKTV 051720 This was really really well organized, had a little humor, and good information. I know you had some puzzling goal of covering the whole subject in 20 minutes, but it took me so long to watch it, with all the pausing and trying to go back to catch the part I wanted to see, or read, along with developing a bit of a headache/eyestrain. The timing is probably some viewer attention span thing ( though Kdrama and BTS fans such as myself don't seem to mind), but perhaps it could have been in 2 parts, like 1st and 2nd generation, with a pace where more of the info could be grasped and retained. I look forward to your explanatory videos. I'm interested in phenomenal BTS, not Kpop, but wanted some general overview, which this was. I also don't favor rap, but found your videos on Ddaeng and Ugh interesting, as well as Idol, the Jung MOTS info, what seemed like a simple fluff piece in Boy With Luv, and others. I also liked your interview with the North Korean woman escapee. I was fascinated by the D & D Korean style Engrish you wrapped up one of your reactions? with and played it several times. I do usually prefer David's choice of words over some of Danny's. Thank you for your hard work.

It shows that many artists have contributed to K-pop's world domination. BTS, like many before them, have just taken it to the next step. Many after BTS will also keep taking it up to new heights. What makes BTS special (besides all the amazing things that make them special 😂) is that they have broken into mainstream media. That is arguably the biggest obstacle foreign artists face. But they haven't broken it just for them, they're allowing other groups to come through too.

"Bigger than all of kpop combined" as an army since the start these words made me tear up because I saw bts grow gradually. I saw them at their lowest. They had thought of disbanding in their early years because no one thought they would make it. It even took 2 years before they got a mere music show win where most rookies get after a year. They were mocked, bashed, mistreated and I saw it all happen. Now that theyve become so big that even the word kpop cant contain them, I feel so damn proud! I vowed to myself that I will walk with them whatever happens, until the end.

Finally in 2016 they won a daesang becoming the first non big 3 act to do so but people still questioned them , they claimed the award was manipulated and all that bullshit. Now I'm more than proud to see them be bigger than the Kpop industry who treated them like shit. BTS , I will be there with you till the end , we all will.

I think right now we are going through a transition stage between 3rd gen and 4th gen idols. Because I think idol groups that have debuted in the past few years are different than say BTS or Twice (to name a few)
@Black3ight4 жыл бұрын
Groups that debuted in 2019 are 4th gen. groups that debuted in 2017 are 3rd gen. 2018 is where the discussion is. Take Loona, many consider them 4th gen since their debut was 2nd half of 2018. But others count Loona's 2 year pre-debut period, So then they count from 2016, which makes them 3rd gen. (G)I-dle debuted in the first half of 2018 and are by many considered as the last big group from 3rd gen, others also think they are the start of 4th gen. So until a deffinitive place is set as the start of 4th gen, say 2nd half of 2018 is the start for now. ;)

Yes, BTS really deserves that section! And I love how it started with Seo Taiji & ended with BTS. And even though they are from two separate eras, they share the same energy with their music-tackles a lot about social issues. When the general public couldn't take Kpop seriously anymore & started to separate idols & artists... I think, BTS broke all those stereotypes carrying the same "concept" but different purpose. No wonder why Seo Taiji "passed" his "throne" to Bts, treated them like his sons and chose them to perform with him on his 25th anniversary concert when there's a whole "YG entertainment" which is established by his former groupmate (I knew all these infos already lol). BTS redefined Kpop & opened bigger doors for it. They made musical, cultural, and economic impact. And even though there's so much hate, racism, xenophobia, and stereotyping that comes along with their popularity... Their names will go down in the history whether people like it or not. BTS became bigger than Kpop itself already it's insane. I started to become a fan because their music resonates my heart & their artistry that shows through their concepts, stories, series of albums and songs which amazed me. As a person who loves different kinds of music, their discopgraphy really speaks to me. I didn't think I would be stanning such a BIG group I'm so proud.

hi... not to start a fight or something but I have this request to the armies to stop saying BTS paved the way because this video literally shows that there have been so many groups leading and paving the way and simply saying BTS paved the way undermines all their efforts and achievements. I don't mean to disrespect BTS, they are amazing and deserve to be where they are but I don't think even they would like to ignore the efforts of their seniors. So, please keep it in mind and please inform other armies of this request as well. Thank You

@@kooscherries I seriously don't mean anything bad. if some kpop artists have said so, then can you tell me who and where, because I am sure that everyone definitely praise BTS and know that BTS made a major contribution to Kpop but they wouldn't have said that BTS paved the way because this statement undermines the efforts of others. If you can then please name the who said so and where cause if that is true, I'll correct myself and apologise. Thank You.

I think that point kind of disregards that fact 1st and 2nd gen idols became popular with less access to content via the internet ( VHS, tv interviews, magazine, film and tv show soundtracks). The access to content was delayed and it was harder to find. Plus these artist were popular even though the content wasn’t translated full in English.

The fact that K-pop started with seo taiji, someone who made a musical career based on rebelling against society, denouncing totalitarian behaviour and then after that, the intention of K-pop became more of what's basically the pop music in America with huge labels similar to UMG, Atlantic, columbia in the U.S., still great catchy music with plenty amazing artists though but then when noone expected, BOOM- BTS, a group that made a career out of rebelling against the norms, denouncing totalitarian systems- from education to society and unintentionally becoming the biggest most influential artist to ever exist, ....and SEO taiji,at the 25th anniversary concert of SEO taiji and boys, after waiting decades passes on his legacy to BTS announcing them to be his heir, he yells out his concert to his audience "this is BTS's era"....and mind it this was back in 2017 and how true his words became since then.
