Romance is a more domesticated version of Eros where you aren't confronted with more "negative" realities of love. To woo someone doesn't mean to have sex. Wooing a girl means to capture her heart, seduce, attract women with speech, etc. Basically "does the kid have game or will he be one of those that freezes up around women" is what he's asking. Generally speaking, this is something that dads used to teach or at least tell their sons about. With GenZ I'm not so sure if it's dads or rappers/entertainers who are doing the teaching.

@leonardorestrepo51962 жыл бұрын
Jokes aside, Mimir's response is excellent- kids today have a ton of resources and cultural touchstones for how to be a good partner, to say nothing about parents that are more willing to talk about this. You'll be hard pressed to find a good man who doesn't look back at his early relationships and wish they had been kinder, stronger, a more complete man to the people they loved.

I’ll say this, with people like Andrew Tate, Kevin Samuels and other guys like that. The things they have in common is that they are sure of them selves, arrogant but also very confident. How now he no longer feeds on the constant flow of anger so doesn't need that way of talking he once did. I love how the main theme of the sequels have been, "I don't want the next generation to be as good as me, I want them to be better." Both Kratos and even here Mimir impart not how they did xyz, but what they wish they'd done. Not who they are, but who they wish they'd been. Mimir regrets how he treated his past loves, who he served, how he treated those beneath him, Kratos regrets... everything. Atraeus has got good role models. It's kinda the same thing I'm trying to improve from how I was raised. My father demanded excellence from me, and if I ever made a single mistake I was treated as if I had stabbed him in the back, meanwhile any mistake he ever made in raising me, any time he yelled or shouted or put his hands on me when he shouldn't have, he never apologized, he told me I deserved it. I won't lie, I'm not perfect, but I don't expect perfection from my kids, and when I lose my temper, unlike my father, I don't tell them they deserved it, I fuckin apologize. Hopefully my kids won't blow up like I do, hopefully they know its wrong and dont default to such actions, hopefully it dies with me.

I don’t think people here have the same idea of what it is to “woo” someone. It’s basically old fashioned for courting or dating in modern terms, not necessarily for sex. When Kratos mentioned this my mind didn’t immediately go to sex, it went to courting someone. Even in the last scenes with Atreus Kratos observes how he and Angrboða talk.
